I can watch Harry Spear vids beginning to end & over and over ….he’s like the Bob Ross of skiff building instruction. Thanks for teaching us Harry!
Thank you for the kind words. I appreciate that. Blessings Harry
Harry, I used to be an aircraft composite guy. For cleaning up radiused inside corners I always used the teardrop and ball shaped grinding stones. I kept a bunch of different sizes on hand. When they would get gummed up I would just run them against a piece of cinder block.
I built my own stitch and glue build several years ago but a full fiberglass build has me itching to do something again. Hope to have a build like this someday
Go for it!
@@harryspear1948 I oh I will! Love your boats!
I love it i want to be like you experienced
Go for it! It just takes a lifetime. Blessings Harry
Excellent. Thank you!
You are welcome.
Makin a cake
Beer is good
What is the putty you used to fair this floor
AME 1001 vinylester resin mixed with two parts micro balloons to one part cabocil. Mix until it’s the consistency of peanut butter .
What is the reason for doing this.
Fairing is cosmetic. It covers imperfections in the layup process. Adding a radius in a joint , filling a void adds structural integrity to the global structure. Therefore fairing can be and is multifunctional .
@@harryspear1948 cheers Harry, are you not better to just flocoat it.
If your wife, like mine telephones and abuses you when she is looking for her cooking spatulas I feel for you mate.Rossco
I got smart a while back. I bought my own at the local kitchen supply store. Not too bad for an old white guy. ?
Man you make this look easy but it really is not
