    😂😂 RIGHT SOMEONE'S GOTTA BE LYING!! I really always wondered how my parents and every aunty, uncle, pastor and bishop was first in their class. EVERYBODY was first in their class, I've never in my life heard a Nigerian adult say they were any less than first, something isn't adding up 🤔😂

    • @TheBeautifulfifi
      @TheBeautifulfifi 7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Nina A. I do understand you. I eat eba or pounded yam with a fork. I started using a fork since I was 11yrs. Yes boarding school. I prefer using fork than my fingers cos I enjoy it more just like the person that prefers using their fingers but I don't go around criticizing others for there preferred style of eating. I do not eat fufu. I have never eaten fufu. In Nigeria fufu is not a general name. This is borrowed. I just find it difficult to call everything fufu instead of there real names. Cos they are all different. People have there preferences.

    The fufu part is accurate!
    I remember when I was 8 years old (I am 19 now) my parents and I went to my uncle house and his wife cooked fufu. We were eating and he came late. At the dinner table he sat next to me and next thing I know, he's whipping out a knife and a fork ! I was shook for life!
    I am not even Nigerian, I am Congolese! don't try that shit!

    I loved this video..I'm not even Nigerian..Bosnian,
    but I'm stunned that:
    they do not like plantain..
    she eat goat meat with crab salad...
    rice with salt is good, rice with sriracha is good
    my mama also used to say "stavi mi na glavu" .."put it on my head"
    and I absolutely felt connected when they asked what did mama say the day after she gave you permission to go out..When I asked her if I could go she stopped saying yes..she always said "vidicemo" or "we will see"..and I knew if she said that it meant YES..IF I DONT HAVE A DREAM. Couple Times she'd let me go if I planned a trip or something and she always said to pray this many rakat of Bismillah, this many of Surah al Fatiha, al nas, al falaq, AND surah Ikhlas. (we're Muslim if you couldn't tell)..and honestly every time I went when she had a dream something bad would happen lbvs

    Hey Cindy, I think you and your friends are hilarious. I love the African culture. But I think something that would help many of your viewers is to give meaning to some of the phrases you all share on your channel. lol I don't know what you mean sometimes but you all discuss it among one another.

    I can totally relate to the okada position in high school. We called it in my school "squating" and had to make sure we were 90 degrees down. If you tell a teacher a senior flogged you, after the senior was beaten up, you will become a target for all the seniors and you do not want that cause they are gonna be all up on your case.

    My dad was hella strict about eating with a fork and knife and how to properly hold every utensils. The only thing he didn't care about was how I ate fufu, but the way they raised me, I hate touching food with my hands. I can eat everything thing with a fork and a knife. I got so good at it that I became the fool that will carve popeyes chicken with a fork and a knife without leaving ANY chicken on them bones.

    plantains is definitely not nasty to my taste buds and I'm American but when I go to African parties or events I eat fufu with my hands and then I get asked what country I'm from. I find it hilarious when I tell them I was born in America but there is no other way you eat fufu
