No matter how many of these evolution of Hip hop videos I see, I can never get tired of seeing how hip hop started in the late 70's. The hip hop of the 80's, 90's and 00's were, are and still will be relevant regardless of whichever era we are in.
Early 70's, almost the entire first generation of hip hop happened before anything was put on vinyl. Hip hop started in '73.

Can't help but notice a steep decline with almost everything that came after 2005. Half of these guys aren't even rapping, they're singing. 50 used to sing a lot too but at least he could rap better than most.

1983 is wrong, that’s a remix of It’s Like That which came out sometime later in 1997 I believe. The original It’s Like That is less upbeat, a more raw and stripped back heavier beat
