  • Let's compare three versions of the classic Williams 1993 pinball: Indiana Jones The Pinball Adventure! I play the Zen Pinball version, the Visual Pinball version (created by The VPin Workshop) and the actual physical table.
    Zen Pinball version:
    zenstudios.com...
    Virtual Pinball version:
    vpuniverse.com...
    Physical Indy at:

    I hope, the table looks better in the new Pinball FX, expecially the ramps.

    I love Zen but it’s hard to beat the VPW version w the color DMD , pup pack ability and lighting. Not to mention how well it plays.

      I’ve always preferred to have my Visual Pinball tables as close to the real thing as possible, but it’s always nice to have options for things like colordmds. Pup is a big game changer too. Recreating JJP games was unthinkable several years ago.

      As a newcomer to Vpin... they look like straight up scumbags to me. 🤷

    I definitely love the 3 tables side by side comparison. Right off the bat I am going to say for overall look and action, nothing beats a real pinball machine. However, I am impressed tht the ball physics have come a LONG way and particularly with VPX, it seems to almost match the real thing, so that is a plus. I had written off the FX3 pinball because I don't like how the ramps looks whereas when the 3 games came up on the screen, I had mistaken the rightmost one for the real thing. So that goes to show you how close the VPX table is. With FX3 the ball seems to look to big in certain places as well. Multiball there seemed to be more collisions with the real thing, whereas it seems as if the virtual variants almost seems as if the game engine is avoiding the collisions, but again VPX seems to have a more realistic looking collision. So I guess that does it for me when comparing virtual pinball, VPX seems the most realistic...when compared to the original, of course.

    That you for doing this. I have all 3 versions. I am thinking of selling my REAL machine because they go for $15k. Sigh.

    Did you say Pinball FX *WILL* support VR? If so, I might be interested again as atm I only play VPX in VR

    Zen gained me and lost me as a customer in the same week lol. Seriously... i hopped into this little hobby knowing NOTHING about their epic store debacle and to make matters worse i saw someone playing the PvZ table and thought i could buy it in 2022... silly me. I CAN'T... then i learn they basically ditched steam for epic store.
    So when my Vpin cabinet gets here VPX it is then! Lol... if i can actually get it all setup. If i can't i guess i can fall back on FX3 tables. Had i done my due diligence and not spent all my time researching hardware, i could have saved about $50 in software.

    Strange, my VPW table does not have the blimp on the lower left side.

      I think it's an option you can turn on in the script. It's not on by default.

    I find the right ramp in the VPW version incredibly hard to hit! Is the FX3 version any easier?

      Haha I thought it was only me! I streamed this also and couldn't hit the right ramps for my life haha

      I have a hell of a lot of trouble with the right ramp using classic physics in FX3 as well.

    • @EQOAnostalgia
      @EQOAnostalgia 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I find i have this issue with a lot of FX3 tables whereas it's never really been an issue for me with real pins. I played a fair bit of them working overnight in a laundromat, so i know how the physics should feel and where the ball SHOULD go, and yeah... it seems kinda random on a vpin. I could consistently nail targets with a real pin. This feels like a roll of the dice RPG or something at times.

    Dude, im new to your channel. I got my cabinet with VP, but that Indy table looks awesome! You got some pack with same quality tables?

    • @rudysarcade
      @rudysarcade 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are no table packs.. If you downloaded a pack it is not from the original authors. You need to learn to download and install tables. They have new updates every day. On VPU and VPF websites.
