========================================================
Greetings mortals! I'm Remortis, welcome to the channel. This is an updated to my entry of Monk multiclass guides for Baldur's Gate 3! I will do my best to keep these coming along.
Today we delve into one of the fun muticlass options available to make the perfect ninja who slinks away in the shadows, the Way of Shadow Monk /Thief Rogue. Using the monks mobility and combos with some extra bonus actions granted by the Thief can create a very fluid feeling ninja in BG3. Hopefully this guide will help you understand what to choose as you level up, and why. And of course, if you have any questions, feel free to comment below! I'll answer the best I can!

Many thanks to Koa from @Mumble Etc. for allowing me to use your rendition of Danse Macabre, one of my favorite classical songs of all time. Here's a link to their youtube channel for other songs, / @mumbleetc

Hey all! Sorry it's been so long! Been really busy lately. Will try to get these updated guides out sooner!
Take your time!
I for one will enjoy them when they are done, no matter the time. 😊
Just a tip, the mage armour does not stack with you monk wisdom AC as it counts as you being armoured. So it you went as per the build you gain nothing from that Invocation. Repelling blast is probably the best option so you can use it as a cc.
Please continue these!
created a shadowmonk not 4 hours ago, great timing
To anyone not wanting to pop potions nonstop: Use the stats he has until mountainpass. Grab graceful cloth, gloves of dex and respec. Dump dex for strength, 17 strength and 8 dex, gloves of dex and cloth make it 20 and then tavern brawler plus potion of vig make strength 20. Theres also the club in underdarks wizard tower from the chair that gives 19 strength if you hold it.
Good calls. I did mention the club too though :)
I dig your Species Specialist thumbnail, great picture for this great build.
A man of good taste. :)
Muhahaaaa Yesterday started a Monch/Rogue Char lol So...this is Welcome XD
Hi my friend. Thanks for the build. Can you prepare a Shadow Party for honor Mode? Thanks in advance !
Interesting proposal!
Mine for honor is Shadowheart with Life cleric 12 for heals and Shield of Faith; Laezel with Fighter Battlemaster 8 Bear Barbarian 4 for resistance to damage, on top of the feats from lv 4, 6, 8 and 12 (since fighter gets a feat ar lvl 6); Wyll as Warlock 5 Draconic Sorcerer 7 for Haste, fire damage and Hex - Constitution to make enemies more sucetible to Stunning Strike and my Thief 4, Shadow Monk 6, Warlock 2 as the melee dps. Make sure that Laezel has the ring that makes her immune to blind and you're good to go.
Does the tavern brawler out pace dual wielding weapons where you can use your rogue attacks after shadowstepping? Like Knife of the Undermountain King and the Justiciar Scimitar?
At a certain point yes I believe it does. But the passives from the Undermountain king (like the reduced crit roll) should apply to your fists as well.
Would be nice to see some showcase with bosses. It it viable for solo?
For solo? Possibly, I think the openhand variant would perform better though
Very viable solo. Probably one of the best classes to solo the game with. Sneaking breaks the AI, so the shadow monk makes most fights easy while the tavern brawler feat allows you to kill bosses.
Key :) 10 points
How's monk's dialogue reactivity past act 1?
Pretty decent. It’s mostly bragging about how stoic and disciplined you are haha
Stunning Strike DC is based on Str/Dex, not Wisdom.
Is it? Hm. That’s not how it should be. Either way the high wis will help our boots of inhibited kushigo allow us to do a little extra damage.
Palalock!!! pls
Savage attack doesnt work with unqrmed btw
Correct. But it does work with melee weapons. I usually throw in weapon attacks especially if going with the crit fishing build as there are plenty of sweet melee weapons that work with this build and help get crits
Can someone just explain a rotation of skills to me for a fight?
There really isn’t a “rotation” it really depends on the situation and what you need. Typically you’ll strike with your weapon or unarmed strike and used your free offhand unarmed strike or spend ki to use flurry of blows for the most part.
@@remortisgaming awesome!! Thank you!
It should actually be Chi >.
Actually the ch in many languages represents a guttoral h instead of a hard k.
@@NeuroticBliss 'Tsi' then?
