    Really nice review! I like the part where you make a transition from the original seat to the rally version, very helpful!

    I like this seat but I cannot find here in Thailand.

    Does the Rally Seat allow you to position yourself a little to the rear so that your legs aren't pulled back so far? Does it permit a more natural seating position almost as if you have mid controls? I only ask this because having my legs pulled back cuts off my circulation a little.

    And confort??

    • @orbsurfer8195
      @orbsurfer8195  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      A little bit better than the standard seat, but I found that the seat takes some getting used too. A little bit like a road bike bicycle seat, it takes a couple of weeks to get used to long rides! :-)

    Where did you order your seat from?

      Do you have a web address or a yamaha part number?

    Tank you for your informativ videos! Are you planning to install luggage system? And if so. What kind system, rack or no rack, soft or hard panniers? There are some interesting panniers, Mosko Moto, Giant Loop and Enduristan.

      Ha Ha! I have a luggage for the bike, Givi top case, because it fits the original Yamaha rack, and Givi Trekker Alaska side cases. Will try to make a video of the install and the cases.
      I am a big proponent of hard luggage, because tools, electronics and equipment is safer in a hard case. And I love the look of aluminum cases!
      I find the Givi to be very high quality, especially compared to the cost of the cases.

    How s pillion comfort with the rally seat? Thanks!

    • @orbsurfer8195
      @orbsurfer8195  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The comfort is a little bit better than on the standard seat. The longest time of pure riding, not counting stops, I like to do on this seat is about ten hours in a day. :-)

    Hey! Thanks for review!
    Is the new seat much more comfortable than the stock one?
    Thanks

      The shape is the same as the original, but I find it a little more comfy.

      Those sharp edges sucks when you're riding for long
      Yamaha really need to redesign their seat on T7

    Get the Touratech high windscreen for it , I will install mine after I get my bike back from the 600 mile service .

      I have the Puig windscreen, and are pretty satisfied with it. Looks pretty close to your Touratech version.

    Great review..thanx! How tall are you? So the rally sky blue (tall?) is short than the regular rally seat? Do you have the part #'s and where did you order it from in Europe?

    • @orbsurfer8195
      @orbsurfer8195  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm 6'-1" - 185 cm. The rally seat is 20 mm taller than the regular two part seat and the same length as the two part regular seat. I think the part number is: BU-YAM-T700-ET Ordered the seat here in the US, took forever...

      A little bit. I have multiple 9 1/2 hours of pure riding time on this seat, not including stops.

    Thanks for the in depth video! May I ask where you ordered it?

    • @orbsurfer8195

      I ordered the seat through my local Yamaha dealer here in the Deep South of the US, but it took an awful long time! Almost five months!!! I think the delay was because Yamaha stopped production of the 40 mm taller version and switched to this one, the 20 mm taller version. I might be wrong, but I don't think Yamaha sell the 40 mm taller version anymore.
      I now order Yamaha parts that I would like a little faster straight from Europe. You pay more for shipping, but get the part(s) in a week or usually less. Ha, Ha!

    • @elgeffe503
      @elgeffe503 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@orbsurfer8195 That's weird cause I'm from the Netherlands and the original Rally seat (40mm) is still for sale on the Yamaha site but the Rally edition seat which you have has (as far as I know) never been for sale here. Which country did you order it from? Thanks for the quick reply btw!

      @@elgeffe503 I too am interested in this version. Did you find out how to get this seat in Europe? Cheers.

    Why do you have a Snicker bar with your tools? :D

    • @orbsurfer8195
      @orbsurfer8195  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It was just a prop showing that since there is now more easily accessible storage on the bike, there is always room for some snacks if you go for a ride! :-)
