Good video I think it is critically important that the basic fundamentals of moving are known by everyone who intend on moving furniture for themselves and/or for others. Knowing how to move furniture in the ways featured in this video is important however for professional movers this should be one of many options dependent on your resources. At Truck Taxi we believe in maximizing your resources. We have determined that our most valued resource is our backs, when your back goes out essentially everything stops -- we can no longer physically do the job. As such we rely more on other resources to limit the amount of adverse strain placed on our backs. So we use supplies, equipment, technique, and other body parts whenever we can. Supplies such as gloves, bands tape, cellophane, and blankets all help in keeping the piece from moving unexpectedly -- your back is usually the first thing to pay unexpected movement. Equipment such as piano dolly, body straps, hand trucks, or appliance dolly were all additional options that could have possibly been used to make that job easier. If you have a client that won't allow you to use rolling equipment in their home for whatever reason before you use your back try to use other equipment that doesn't need to roll in order to transfer it from point A to point B but make sure to have the client pay for that other option which will probably put more strain on your back
