I hve taken my crawlers for a walk a couple of times, just drive it up in front of you and when you find something worth climbing just climb it.i am sure it looks weird but i have fun
oh no, this is how it begins. you get 1 crawler after toying around with drift and touring, and then you go nuts putting those things over obstacles! hah
I think it's perfect for a beginner. Servo is a bit slow and it pulls the suspension too but when I actually do some crawling it doesn't matter that much because although it's slow, it's precise. Tyres are grippy as well so crawling is easy.
Great one. I've upgraded mine with big tires, but do you know how to found some compatible metal upgraded, my axles and "gear" links are broken. Thx for your work Beaver
Unfortunately the spares are really hard to come by. You'll have to search for something like HP 1/24 crawler and it might show up so I don't know if you can find the specific upgrade.
Crawlers are excellent fun and if love to see more from you in the future! This one is perfect to start with and the right choice for you I think. Would you mind sharing on a scale of 1-10. 10 being best. How well would you rate slow speed handling? Slow crawling capability. Thank you
For me it's 8/10. Very good for beginner. It can do very slow crawling but you need a light finger to do it. Tap it a bit and it'll shoot off the cliff. Handling is really good. I give it 8 because turning circle is pretty large and body isn't the best representation of a Landrover.
I've been looking at that car for years now but never buy it. I don't know why either. Still don't know if I'd buy it now since I already got this CR-24.
@@BeaversHobby hmm sorry for my pfp, i lost a bet. anyways, i love your videos, im your biggest fan, i got inspired br your k989 vids and i just bought my first hobby grade rc- wl toys k989. where i live it is actually impossible to find any mini z wheels and upgrades. can you please start selling those kind of products?. you are a legend and i will always follow ur vids
I'm currently putting a kit hardbody Silverado shell on my RGT (essentially the same as yours). I couldn't stand looking at that sucked sweety lookin' vac-form insult to Landrover any more. (although the rollcage is nice). If you are gonna be tinkering with the running gear, I will (of course) be all... um, eyes?
I'm thinking about lower the gear because this is quite fast for a crawler, don't you think? I also think that body is not the best representation of a Landrover too. Still looking for a 1/24 model kit option, probably a G-Wagon because I think I've seen it in my local model shop.
@@BeaversHobby Welly Toy-grade 1:24 RC D90? This is what I did with an Orlandoo (Geko tires, WLtoys rims... I even put the Welly diecaste interior in it)
Sorry, to clarify, the Toy RC and the diecaste must share the CAD, so I was able to put clear windows, dashboard, etc.in the toy RC, which already had lighting (bonus!)
@@BeaversHobby Ahh, OK, sorry. I was offering you an alternative suggestion to the model kit that you'll have to fettle and paint ...AND the wing mirrors will snap off on the 1st roll-over. @@BeaversHobby Phew, was wondewring about this. So I take it does not use a standard protocol like FHSS, AFHDS, etc ... this is why I use the WL24438 and mod these as they use the v2x2 protocol (easy with the 4in1 module)... and cheaper than the MiniZ 4x4. Kepe it up... love to see some crawling stuff.
@@gbraadnl Unfortunately the radio is Hobby Porter 91803G-VT so it isn't compatible with anything else. They sell upgrade kit with 3 wire ESC and servo though.
myself and some friends have bought these and are having a blast playing and building mini courses for these mini crawlers
nice, addictive . I got the mini z crawler during lockdown. Its great for just messing with around the house.

I always do that walking my dog and bringing my trx4. Not so much with 1/24 on a long walk lol

Cant wait to see what mods you do to it!
very nice. I just go into crawlers, I have a lot of fun with my sendero and demon FR4. I'm sure this mini crawler is so much fun.
So cute! I love it. Thanks for uploading. Blessings.
I have the same one and got it for my birthday yesterday nice video
Crawlers are just as interesting as Mini-z racers
Nice video dude 👏😊 we have one of those exact crawlers in our collection, what did you think of it? Or is that bit for another video?

The driveshafts are quite weak mine broke the secpmd day.
Thanks for the heads up. I'll be sure to drive it carefully and might get the metal upgrade soon.

why does it tild so much when it steers
The steering also pulls the suspension. I've been told I can fix this with pan bar mod.

it looks pretty good bro
The red sealing tape on the big box says «ΕΥΘΡΑΥΣΤΟ» meaning Fragile in greek. You live in Greece?😊
Yes, I am.
You know what you'll have to do and what you do best, right? Make it drift!
How much was it?
$90 for the 2 batteries version. $82 for the one battery version.
nice video!! Would you like to review orlandoo hunter?

put these wheels on the K989
Unfortunately they won't fit. But if there's an adapter for Mini-Z AWD to 7mm hex then it's gonna be crazy.

From the first few seconds I can tell this ain't proportional... driving and steering is all of nothing. Let's see the rest... as I hope I am wrong.
It's proportional but the radio takes some time to get used to.
