Spearfishing Tips & Lessons - Freefalling technique (CADUTA) on a big grouper | SPEARFISHERZ | 2.7K

At around 15-20 meters I stopped finning and began freefalling, continuing to navigate by altering the position of my body and fins. I met 2 big groupers and decided to follow the closer one. Anticipating where it wants to go I gradually closed the distance between us while trying not to scare off the fish.

1. Dive safe
2. Spearfish sustainably
Freediving is the mother of spearfishing.
Without possessing the basic freediving knowledge and skills any underwater activity on a single breath of air can easily lead to tragic consequences. Therefore it's highly recommended to complete a dedicated freediving course with a qualified instructor.
Once you learn the essentials and master the basic feediving skills you will be able to enjoy this amazing sport in a safe and enjoyable way by simply respecting your own body and the rules and safety protocols of freediving.
As for spearfishing itself - if you are just starting out then you really want to get some proper mentoring from an experienced spearfisher in order to kick-start and minimize the risks involved. Also, you want to be 18 years of age or older in order to handle a speargun. Make sure to check this with your local laws and regulations before indulging in spearfishing activities.

Thanks Jon. Actually it's only 34m and 2min, as if a regular freedive with a small detour ;)
