That isn't plastic, it's most likely a carbon fiber composite stock, and I'm pretty damned sure you could smash a cheap lock like that with that, depending on the weight of the gun overall.
If you stay far enough away, they don't notice you (otherwise the drone would be of extremely limited use). You can upgrade it in lots of different ways, including greater stealth, the ability to drop explosives, and remotely res friends.
I think you guys should have invested in a "This footage was brightened" sticker on the screen. Was a bit odd to hear "It's so dark, I can barely see anything!" while as the viewer, being able to see everything.
Character animations looks little bit wonky as well, definitely not as polished as Siege/Division. Example is when Smith was shooting a minigun at 15:18, just doesn't feel right.
You can bet you ass off that won't get fixed before launch. A modern-day bèta is basically a demo. This is the final product (minus some minor tweaks here and there). The main thing I hope they fix is the absolute piss-poor shitty optimisation.
16:35 Smith, you're wrong, the twisting of the blades allows for a higher lift making you go up, it's that most helicopters have the rotor head angled down very slightly, to allow for forward movement, while level. Also the rotors act like a wing, so at high speeds, it can fly like a plane
Usually helicopters do need to tilt forward to fly at a reasonable speed, Smith. Usually you would also increase collective when tilting forward to counter the loss of upward thrust.
Ever since they said they might miss a day here and there, I've been pleasantly surprised when I find a video from them in my sub box and always watch them.
The open world appears to be pretty big going by the in game map in the beta....but it's the same old tedious Ubisoft bullshit. Just a huge map scattered with random military bases that you clear out and 10,000 objects that you click on to get more stuff to buy stuff.
Some extra context - this is the starting area, and is the simplest and easiest. Later zones have jets, rocket launchers, vastly more challenging military bases, more bosses, and so on. They were probably playing on the default difficulty, too. If you put it on Ghost (the highest difficulty) you'll be spotted much further away, die in a couple of bullets, and are forced to be strategic if you want to stand a chance.
@penultimatum I saw some people livestream where they were playing on ghost difficulty and they were running and gunning and then ressing each other when they were knocked down so you are not really "forced to be strategic".
No but you see Smith, that's actually how helicopters work, the blades twist to turn the body around, much like ailerons on airplanes, its actually the airlift from the blades that propel the heli forwards, thus the inclination. And from what I seen it actually preserves momentum. So it seems to me pretty realistic, albeit the limited PC controls in a game.
It does kind of look like the helicopter is dangling on a string, though. When it rolls (tilts) to either side, in reality you'd get wild strafing movements, but in this game it just doesn't seen to even affect the trajectory which is weird.
I had no problem with driving or piloting in this game. Even the helicopter thing I was able to fix, so that you didn't just go down when trying to go forward, but I don't remember how.
i like that they animated gun projectiles, so they actually don't travel instantaneously. that's pretty cool. otherwise, it seems really, really flawed. gunplay, driving, strategy, health system, basically everything is pretttty sloppy.
I agree with the heli's. Was playing the beta on PS4 and in the cases that you do get a heli with guns- It's impossible to aim them. If they behaved more like they do in BF3/4 it would make them much more effective/fun
I wonder if modern games are going to be an encoding nightmare indefinitely. I noticed in this video pretty much every time the camera got moved when in a grassy area the image turns to total mud. it's too bad we have all these hi fidelity texture packs and then any recordings look kinda like ass when there's a lot of movement.
Stop holding 'Shift', while flying the helicopter. It will keep the height and just go forward when holding 'W'. Made the same mistake, thinking that you were supposed to hold 'Shift' still, while wanting to go forward.
whats the driving like in this game? could you compare it to something? as driving physics really ruin games for me like watch dogs 2 driving (with controller if possible please :) )
The flying looks fine. just like Battlefield or something, not many games have turbulance like GTA does and just because it doesnt have it doesnt make it bad.
This is so similar to the divisions, which turned out to be fine. And not really the cooperative game it wanted to be. I think that Wildlands will be just the same.
I imagine the helicopter controls would be a bit better if you'd played with a controller. Most of Ubisoft's games are developed for console and ported to PC, hence the poor vehicle controls. IDK.
One of the few playthroughs of this beta where the game's flaws were pointed out. Thank you for that.
Wicked Guardian gotta say it how it is!
Seriously! Thank you.
Hat Films The one Eyed Dog has changed a lot!
I guess Hat Films are not being paid unlike some TH-camrs.....
@Banhammer72, I 100% agree that it's very likely Hat Films is not being paid, but I hope you don't have any ill will towards those TH-camrs that do.
Hat Films playing games in Alpha and Beta gives me life.
7:50 Smashing a big ass metal padlock with a plastic buttstock... Well done game.
Well that's the sort of quality you'd expect from a 'padlock' brand padlock.
That isn't plastic, it's most likely a carbon fiber composite stock, and I'm pretty damned sure you could smash a cheap lock like that with that, depending on the weight of the gun overall.
must be a Masterlock.
I like how the enemies don't seem to care about the drone thats buzzing around them lining them all up.
Video Sage Damned if they do, damned if they don't
I don't think they'd be "damned" if they included that. I too was very confused until I noticed the normal-brightness stuff was blown out.
Yea they should totally just narrate all their edits on screen for us so we don’t get confuzzled :(
Ross reacted surprisingly little to Trott yelling at him to move having dropped a grenade at his feet.
Smith's silent face of concentration while attempting to hose down the convoy with the chopper at 11:17 was gold
HAPPY BIRTHERU CHRISPU TROTTUUU!!!!!!
glad trott didn't lose the SSD card this time
The vehicles definitely need some work.
Character animations looks little bit wonky as well, definitely not as polished as Siege/Division. Example is when Smith was shooting a minigun at 15:18, just doesn't feel right.

Hevy Wepuns Gai Don't know why you're talking bad about the animations, they look copy pasted from the Division
the game is basically a love child between division/far cry/assassins creed after playin the beta i saw elements of all of em in the game
+david jameson
It's more like Just Cause after the fun has been surgically removed.
wow 2 days in a row guys mental
These are very high tech and well supplied rebels for their apparently small number and guerilla operations procedure.
well there being supplied by the us military just like isis and the taliban were at 1 point
Love it when hat films makes reference to my (and thier old) hometown.. that pub use to be down in southsea but it's a Tescos Express now..
I appreciate the Portsmouth shoutout.
So how many of us are watching from Portsmouth then? :D
from just a town over, go to pompy all the time
YEP!! Represent!
Also that pubs down in southsea.. But im pretty sure its a Tesco Express now.
Represent Live in Fratton boys :P
16:35 Smith, you're wrong, the twisting of the blades allows for a higher lift making you go up, it's that most helicopters have the rotor head angled down very slightly, to allow for forward movement, while level. Also the rotors act like a wing, so at high speeds, it can fly like a plane
'Solid' Snake
filthy casul
cant wait for this game to come out. Played the closed beta for so long and couldnt stop playing it
Trotty was the one who came up with "One Eyed Dogs"?! Wow
This is SOOO much fun to watch. I would love to see more!
21:23 Smiths crow brain gets fooled by scarecrow.
Usually helicopters do need to tilt forward to fly at a reasonable speed, Smith. Usually you would also increase collective when tilting forward to counter the loss of upward thrust.
Ross - "Excuse me? Sir? I need your car."
Sir - "No problem! Take it and enjoy!" Walks off into the woods
this is so satisfying to watch especially with you guys playing it
Ever since they said they might miss a day here and there, I've been pleasantly surprised when I find a video from them in my sub box and always watch them.
I like how hat films rips any game they get with any flaws they see.
About time my notifications actually notified me on time.
This looks like it could be another tom clancy's division. Open world and may lack content on release. I will be watching it closely however.
The open world appears to be pretty big going by the in game map in the beta....but it's the same old tedious Ubisoft bullshit. Just a huge map scattered with random military bases that you clear out and 10,000 objects that you click on to get more stuff to buy stuff.
CHRISU TROUTUUUUUUUUUUU
cyclic pitch makes the craft tilt forward & moves the centre of pressure ahead of the centre of mass. this cause forwards movement.
I was really disappointed by the beta I found it clunky and frankly unfun y'all made it fun tho so good on ye
I love how long it took Smith to remember about the NVGs.
The game seems a bit... Dull.
Doesn't really seem very strategic either.
Very dull. I think I will skip this one.
You want strategy from Hatfilms? on the bigger bases you have to be a bit clever. They kind of run in and shoot.
@Aaron North Did you watch the video? They were pretty strategic.
@penultimatum I saw some people livestream where they were playing on ghost difficulty and they were running and gunning and then ressing each other when they were knocked down so you are not really "forced to be strategic".
I love The One Eyed Dog, great pub

Guilherme Furst wrong champ.
sure, einstein...
Haha you are not a pilot champ.
Yeah... I didn't actually make a video of me flying, that is on my channel, years ago....
Oh my god when that guy crouched down to surrender and they just shot him I died a little inside
I just watched it. Totally. 100%. The whole video.
Eiho damn son you crazy
closed beta was short, but I still enjoyed it.
I live in Portsmouth, been to the one eyed dog
this looks like it might be fun. if i had friends.
Who else noticed the slightly shortened intro tune?
I like trotts character model the most but Ross yours is pretty cool as well
Wow the reference to the 'One Eyed Dog' in Portsmouth!
I had no problem with driving or piloting in this game. Even the helicopter thing I was able to fix, so that you didn't just go down when trying to go forward, but I don't remember how.
"It seems so dark." Almost like it's nighttime.
I get the impression that nobody involved in making this game has ever: piloted/ridden a helicopter, parachuted, driven a car,
Oh man. Being from Portsmouth, it's pretty weird to hear you mention the One Eyed Dog.
Hat films don't beat around the bush
Smith at 21:19 wondering why he can't tag a Scarecrow
Is this the same team that made Splinter Cell Conviction? Really getting that vibe from it.
i like that they animated gun projectiles, so they actually don't travel instantaneously. that's pretty cool. otherwise, it seems really, really flawed. gunplay, driving, strategy, health system, basically everything is pretttty sloppy.
gun projectiles, AKA bullets
Smith trying to target a scarecrow 21:22
I love the sped up intro, guys
I agree with the heli's. Was playing the beta on PS4 and in the cases that you do get a heli with guns- It's impossible to aim them. If they behaved more like they do in BF3/4 it would make them much more effective/fun

A game with a lot of potential, that still needs a lot of work.
I think realism playthroughs with tactics is kind of taking over the whole "funny guys" playthroughs.
Solid Snake doesn't have an eye patch. Big Boss does.
this game looks 3 years old before its released
When did the intro theme get shortened??
One eyed dog is like a 9/10 pub
WE WANT BATTLEFIELD!
Would of loved seeing more of this.
ding ding the bells ringin' and we here
did ross reference PK with the bad umbre?!?!
I was getting tilted by the helicopter driving.
when Smith thinks that scarecrow is an enemy
ubisoft games: gameplay doesnt matter, just make it look good. idiots will buy it
Yup, people who buy the game are TOTALLY idiots. How dare they be interested in it, or any other Ubisoft product. Dumb cunts.
Collide CS:GO LOL
Please play more of this
the helicopter handling kinda looks like flying in minecraft lol
I had fun with the beta but it defo need work. I think they should postpone the release to fix it up (especially the performance)
Ross quoted a shitty soldier 76
"I've got a couple in my sights"
loved the game with 2 other mates :P sooo much fun
gotta say this game is way more mainstream than my GRAW heart wanted (if you dont know GRAW u aint no true ghost recon fan m8)
Wow the intro is super short now?
Can't wait to get into watching this. Saving it for later. :)
TactiCool GTA? Yes, please!
reminds me a little on tom clancy´s the division ;-) but its looking better with more fps and less rpg, i look forward to the release
Oh, Ghost Recon; how far you have fallen.
Stop holding 'Shift', while flying the helicopter. It will keep the height and just go forward when holding 'W'.
Made the same mistake, thinking that you were supposed to hold 'Shift' still, while wanting to go forward.
Why would anyone have thought to put a reload icon/animation center of the crosshair?
EmoKillla You normally aren't shooting when you're reloading, so it makes sense.
this looks ace
whats the driving like in this game? could you compare it to something? as driving physics really ruin games for me like watch dogs 2 driving (with controller if possible please :) )
The flying looks fine. just like Battlefield or something, not many games have turbulance like GTA does and just because it doesnt have it doesnt make it bad.
All games make helicopters work like that. Literally every game that has helicopters plays like that.
Over than the questionable car/heli handling.. hows the shooting/cover/various other gameplay mechanics feel like? Plays well?
looking back at this smiffy is just bad at flying helicopters
Those convoys sound like they are ripped from the recent Mad Max game. Except less fun since it doesn't involve vehicle combat.
Hopefully this will be fun and what Just Cause 3 should have been.
hobanagerik just cause 3 was exactly what its always been like?
Ghost Recon hasn't been realistic in a long time sadly
Yay Hat films
haha is this the new mercenaries? sure looks like it
hat films make any game fun :) Thanks, you beautiful bastards
You shortened the intro song!! Thought we wouldn't notice?
HatFilms vlogging sim.
Do more of this
This is so similar to the divisions, which turned out to be fine. And not really the cooperative game it wanted to be. I think that Wildlands will be just the same.
I imagine the helicopter controls would be a bit better if you'd played with a controller. Most of Ubisoft's games are developed for console and ported to PC, hence the poor vehicle controls. IDK.
Wooooo Portsmouth I'm from there!!
Can you make a bidouf song Hat filmssss!! I need it for my Spotify playlist
Those rain splatters at like 17:45 are terrible.
That rain on the roof looks bloody awful
