      We’ll see how these trays fare this year. I have lots of seeds coming up already. Have a good one bud.

    Thanks for the informative video! I hope you have a good planting season this year. I’m doing Cilantro, Carrots, Peppers, and Lettuce so far.

      Best of luck, someone told me rabbits like parsley so we’re gonna grow a little more of that.

    These trays are okay. I like to use them for cloning but as far as seeding goes. My success ratio in transplant is low so I run nursery pots now. The mesh they are wrapped in takes a long time to decompose too. Cool carhart shirt. We call that wonbok or Chinese cabbage, just planted some too.very nice planting chad! Awesome work.🐸🍺🤙🔥

      Well we’ll see how it goes, they’re definitely easy to use. Some seeds have germinated but not all. I guess if I really don’t have good success I’ll change it up, but I feel like for us here in winter starting seeds in my living room it’s far less messy. Maybe if I had a greenhouse or seed shed I could work with soil and pots. I’m sure I’ll have updates along the way. Cheers Johnny, always appreciate chatting my friend. 👊

    We got one of those for our granddaughter thinking it would be easy for her. We only had 50% germination in the Jiffy tray unfortunately...hope you have better luck. Smokey was feeling his wild side 🦁

      Is that right eh, I’ll have to keep an eye on it but lots of seeds have germinated but haven’t checked if all. I’m sure I’ll have an update video at some point. Have a good one, Chad.

      @@HiddenSpringFarm ours had issue with the weird wrapping stuff that the pucks were encapsuled in...held too much water. Wish you the best with yours and hope yours grows abundantly

    Do you water regularly after your pods are planted? How often? Thank you.

      I water when I see them dry. It depends on how humid your place is but for us it was every day or two.

    So you are obviously in the North, I'm in NY. When would you begin the process? Awesome informative video. Thank You!

    • @HiddenSpringFarm

      Yup I'm in Horseshoe Valley, Ontario. I don't like to start my seeds too early cause I find they get long and leggy trying to get to the light. I'll start late March or early April to get ready for transplanting in the garden 3rd week of May.

      @@HiddenSpringFarm I'm on Long Island, NY and it's March 20 so I'm thinking "Go time". BTW nice Garth Brooks knockoff!

      @@joeclark4313I'll be starting a bit late this year cause I'll be building some raised beds and installing weed block so I have a lot of work to do before transplanting. The times about right to start though.

    How long does it take for pods to expand?

    • @HiddenSpringFarm
      @HiddenSpringFarm  ปีที่แล้ว

      Not long really, I remember I left it for hours but I didn’t need to cause I think it was less than 30 mins.

    • @grace4five
      @grace4five ปีที่แล้ว

      Mine have been soaking for 12 hours and do not look like yours at all. Wondering if my kit is too old… Could that possibly be an issue?

    • @HiddenSpringFarm
      @HiddenSpringFarm  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@grace4five maybe, did you put 15 cups of water though? Is there water in the bottom of the pan when you’re done? I just bought it and used it in a few days so I don’t know if age is a factor.

      I noticed with mine the water wasn’t warm enough to expand them so I had to dump the cooler water and got hotter water. Then they started to expand. My flower seedlings are now getting slimy and dying tho so idk about this. First time ever doing anything garden wise.
