For the first grid, Marshall Islands fits all the criteria
and for the 2nd i think sudan fits all of them too
I didn't realise that :D
@@Mat3906_nope, sudan ain’t on the Indian Ocean
@@prime7582 depends if you count the red sea as part of the indian ocean, i dont know🤔
" A country can only be guessed once per game board."
Yeah, Dakar metro area has the population of almost 4 million. If India/New Delhi was accepted then Senegal/Dakar should've been as well.
At least it was a close one... I got burned on that grid going Pakistan knowing it was commonwealth with a 240M+ population not realizing the capital was barely 1M
The city/metro thing is iffy. Haiti was listed with a million+ capital though the city of Port-au-Prince is actually tiny. I haven't tried London. The City of London is tiny but most of the government functions are in Westminster. The metro is huge, obviously.
Fun game but I'm lousy with flags. For #41 3-color M-countries, I guessed Mexico and Moldova. Duh, fail.
Score 225.5 with Malaysia, Maldives, none, Antigua and Barbuda, Saint Kitts and Nevis, USA, NZ, Fiji, Australia.
#40: Score 151.9 with UK, India, Kenya, Egypt, Seychelles, DRC, Germany, Tanzania, Jordan.
There is a winning strategy: load the game 59 seconds before midnight US Eastern time, before anyone else has submitted any answers. Then every correct answer you submit will be a legendary first with a perfect score. There is a risk though: if you are late by just a few seconds, some of the most obvious answers have already been guessed.
Haha, that's a good strategy :D
@@GeoPeterThis is a little tricky because the launch time of the daily game seems to vary a bit, as it were launched manually rather than by an automated script. I was able to ace it once though. Another player on the same Discord server has aced it at least twice, maybe more.
My scores -
Grid #41 - 169.4
Grid #40 - 102.4
Oh I definitely gonna have to try and beat some of those scores haha! This looks a lot of fun.
I can't play along because I have already played them. I found GeoGrid from Chicago Geographer and have played it every day every since.
Yes, you can. Just delete your cookies :)
That's a fun game. I just got the link to it from my friend last week. For me it is a little hard sometimes because I am very bad with flags :D
Same! 😂
41: 70.4
40: 60.3
Thanks, fun game! Nice changeup.
Great game. Instantly addict
Iraq was epic... at least in this context
ikr i’m laughing uncontrollably😭
Morocco has a star 🇲🇦
I completely forgot about UK in the Indian Ocean
the UK is in the indian ocean now?
@@neonwired4978 there are some islands that belongs to the UK, zoom using Google Maps and you will find them
@@neonwired4978 British Indian Ocean Territory - used as a military base with the US
Kind of the same for France if something about South America was a category
this game is so fun!
Fun game
great
the UK has a coastline on the Indian ocean?
Probably Diego Garcia counts.
British Indian Ocean Territory :)
@GeoPeter that's a overseas territory not technically part of the UK
No, Bangladesh doesn't count as a flag with a star, it's a blood stain. Palau doesn't count either, its circle is the moon.
The color denotes blood, but the circle itself represents the rising sun (at least that's one of the versions). You are right about Palau, though! :)
