In this video, we will be going through on how to beat the Developer Times in Papu's Pyramid. The track isn't hard at all, especially with the method I'm about to show in this video. There are 2 key areas where you have to excel at (and it's not even that hard). The ghost honestly could be much more harder than this, but then again, not too hard.

Exactly! I have platinumed the game but it’s just fascinating to see what I could have done better.
Been really struggling on this level to even gain the sacred fire. I’d been having to wait until the second turbo pad and U turn after the short cut onto the pad. I’m hoping your tip of not boosting on the last segment of the spiral will help. Thanks for the tip and keep up the fantastic content
All of your excellent guides got me convinced to give the Oxide time trials another go after almost a year has passed. Reinstalled it this morning and already have this one done in a few tries! Thanks and keep up the good work!

So happy that this one wasn't so hard, at least with Drift. It's nice that the rest of the track is so easy to build fire on, because you don't HAVE to touch that damned pad again.
I'm not even going to do the Developer Times, I just love watching your videos.
They are more forgiving than it looks. However, you might need to practice a bit. (Get a feel for u-turning) ..once you've got the first one down you know you can do it. ;)
I would say I'm capable of beating them, I just don't really care that much.
@@StunV2 I didn't feel like it either. I started playing little by little, one a day, when I was about 15 I got it for real.

I had a bit of trouble around the Turbo pad area (either would accidentally hit the wall before the pad, jump OVER the pad, or land on the pad but drift into the wall next to it), but this is DEFINITELY one of the easier ones. After I took the grass cut just the first time, I never saw that bastard AGAIN 🤣. An air brake at the final shortcut saves some time too, ended up clockin' in at 1:29:06

At the final leap you can save a lot of time if you dont jump at the edge but a kart lenght earlier and bit on the left. Then you cut a lot of corner in the air.
I tried this with Turn engine and it works! Another dev time beaten
I've already beaten this developer time but always worth watching in case I can improve further. I have a request: I'm finding it hard to do Cortex Castle in terms of how to keep the blue flame around the whole track- It would be great if you can do a video on what the best driving style to use on this track. I only have 9 more developers to beat and your videos really helped.

Four Dev times finished today! N.Gin Labs (2 seconds ahead even!), Barin Ruins, Spyro Circuit, and Twilight... Road? Already forgot the name of that last one... but that doesn't matter! I'm now at 9 out of 40 tracks mastered!

When I did it, I don't think the ghost takes the grass shortcut on lap 2.

I found it weird that they took an inferior grass cut considering they took the harder grass cut for Tiger Temple.
They only took the hardest grass cut on Tiger for laps 2 and 3 because you can do that cut on lap 1 it’s just insanely difficult
It is super easy you don't even need flame if you jump over that last wall

That ghost was a bit of a sleeper. I was not expecting it to be as tough as it was. I finally beat it, but I would really like to know how the dev ghost takes the part you're talking about so fast. I don't think I beat it past that point once, I just had to race the rest of the track really well

@@CrashBandicutieness You'll get it. One tip to get ahead, is to hop and U-turn as tight as you can on the corner before the big jump, and take the ramp on the left instead of the big jump (2nd and 3rd laps). And then obviously hug the last turn as sharply as possible (stay in the pink lane). Those two things will put you in the game if the ghost pulls ahead of you at the beginning part of the lap.

Just watch the world record and try to copy what they do
I was miles away from the developer when I did it age's ago and I am struggling on megamix mania WILLIAM P.
And you don't need to driftboost in the tunnel shortcut at the beginning. You can build enough reserves before that. And by landing at the exit.

Yo yo!! Thanks a lot for all your effort and ofc it all helps (going through the spiral etc.) but how to f*ckin’ hit the turbo pad on top..?! Its far from as easy as it seems, and even IF I (accidentally) manage to hit it, the kart starts stuttering and the flame is immediately gone.. OR it hit the opposite wall on the right side 🤬
You might avoid the big grass cut in the first lap (just do a small one) so you can fill up some reserves. The second lap you don't have to go over the turbopad and you might have enough reserves to do the big grass cut. Same goes for the thirth lap.. however I just played it safe and did a small grass cut at that lap aswell.
