Use a piece of electrical tape to hold the dowel and spring place while you push the mirror into place and force the bolt through. I found it was easier to do with the mount on the vehicle already and using it to push the mirror into place w my shoulder while sliding the bolt from the bottom. Pressure from the spring will keep it from falling out while you put the nut and plastic bushing in place. Don't forget the bushings!
Good video saved me some time. Having said that your bracket that mounts between the mirror and CanAm you have reversed. If you swap them the countersunk screw hole will line up and the flathead allen bolt wont protrude
Dude this video saved me!!! Thank you for posting. I'm halfway done. I do feel like a have a lot of extra bolts and nuts leftover. Hoping it was in case needed for something else
Yes, they are solid. I like them a lot. The mirror glass does seem to vibrate a little bit but I’m assuming all mirrors would because the whole utv vibrates while idled and especially while driving.
I agree. Thank you for the feedback. I think it is because I had my phone upright while recording part of the time instead of sideways so it didn’t show the full picture when I combined the different videos and uploaded it to TH-cam. I’ll have to check and see if I can adjust it. I should have put the camera further back either way so that you could see more.
@@TheRuleFamilyHomestead Reason why I left the comment on it is because I just recently bought the same mirrors and wanted a step x step on how to put them and install them. The video was on you and not how you put it together. I couldn’t see your hands doing it.
@@ethanh9535 I understand. I haven’t made very many install type videos. I was looking for the same thing when I got mine so that’s why I decided to try and make a video. I wish it would have been better. I’ll have to do better next time. I hope you enjoy your defender like I do. I’ve been very happy with mine. We live in a place where we have a lot of places to ride it so that helps.
Here’s the instruction website for Can-Am. You put the part number in and it will give you the instructions. instructions.brp.com/e-instruction.html#tab=1&sku=715008100
Thanks for the video. Very helpful. I'm in Texas, ... so sweating and struggling in my shop at night is what we do (I can relate). :)

Thanks for the video! I forgot the pin at the spring!😂

Thank you!
Good video, helped me a bunch, I have the same setup...thanks
Does it come with driver and passenger side in the box?
@KadeStamps Yes
Would you happen to know how far they stick out? Mounting surface to outside edge of mirror?
Just measured it. About 10 inches.
I’m ready for another ride! 😁
Come on down!! We would love to have you guys again! We’ll definitely have to go for another ride! 😊

I used Vaseline worked great.
I can’t see nothing
Gotta work on camera skills. Your doing all the work of putting it together, and all I see is your face and chest. Just an fyi.
