Am sorry if my comment is demotivating you but this is the reality....
i suggest you guys to Never opt for civil engineering if you guys want to earn money atleast for your survival, it is the field where there is no proper holidays(minimum 14hrs work for weekly 6 days sometimes Sundays also working day), no proper work culture/ work life balance and also very low salary, even the construction labours earn more than engineer. Guys Pls don't think that I don't have skills I have more than enough skills which is required to work and also from tier 1 institute but still the growth is limited and also the salary If you opt for it you will definitely going to regret for this decision, Life after college is definitely not going to be great in this field, your other department friends will earn 5x more salary than you as a fresher and 20x better salary than you as an experienced guy
I suggest you guys not to waste ur energy in this field.. Shifting to IT also tough with civil engineering degree...

@@jaydeepgawali6053 Brother go for any circuit branch like ECE, EEE, CS, IT... Because in college only circuit branches are eligible for almost every companies comes for placement... It will give atleast more options and chances for you to get placed... But if you choose non circuit branch like civil or mech you are not eligible for most of the companies .....because biggest recruiters visiting campuses are IT/Consulting firms only.... they prefer circuit branch students only... Very low number of core companies only coming for placement even in IITs or NITs.... And there is no core companies are going to come if you are in tier 2 or tier 3 colleges...
