Duke himself is the gift that keeps on giving.

I had a dog named Duke also. He was the best dog I ever had. He got old and he was in a lot of pain. I had to put him down. I still miss him so much.
Gentle senior dogs are the best. Their calmness and contentedness are infectious.

Well it took me months to grief Ricky but once secured a well paying home job that pays Thousands of dollars that is pushing some kind of working from crypto investment and it gave me lots of personal time thanks to laura muller ; I got a new Pet in memory of Ricky you know ; now I make it my first priority to ensure his well being and it's being like riding a roller coaster man. Never being more happy. Still miss Ricky tho

I had a Miniature Poodle that did that even if You got up in the morning, She'd greet You with a Toy as well as everyone Who came over to Our house. Dogs are BEYOND SPECIAL. THE ULTIMATE GIFT THEY ARE ❤❤❤❤❤

I used to have a black lab and whenever he would see anybody he would have to give them something a twig a leaf anything. And I think that's just amazing it just shows that these dogs have big hearts and they want to share their love. He's a very very sweet boy❤❤❤❤

If you can afford to, please rescue senior dogs from shelters! They have so much love to give and it's heartbreaking that a lot of them will end their lives in a cage.

That’s EXACTLY what my year and a half old lab does every time I walk in the house he’s a sweetheart. Best dog I’ve ever had Retrievers are SO loving and lovable
Lol and their tails always wagging, I remember as a kid when I'd go to a friend's house who had a Lab, everytime the Lab would run up the stairs, we could hear his wagging tail just beating against the wall 😂good memories 😢

It truly boggles me how dogs get grey hair as they age. It’s such a beautiful thing, they are so human, I would say better then humans their personality, their empathy, willingness to trust again as well as unconditional loyalty and love is something we all should aspire to be. They teach us so much and yet they’re treated so cruelly by some despicable individuals. These rescuers, fosters and people who adopt and love their fur babies with no limitations are the true champions here. 👏🏾👏🏾😇💜

What a beautiful dog! His personality is the spitting image of our dear departed Chocolate Lab, Scout. I miss her so much. She loved the world, the world loved her, and she knew it. Her friendly nature was so obvious in her body language that strangers would always approach. So eager to please. Such a possession dog. If someone comes to the door she had to run and pick something up to show them. If we're going for a walk she had to find a stick or a piece of litter to pick up and carry with her. Sigh! Chocolate Labbies are the best!

This is so sweet. My dog does the same thing. Always brings a stuffed animal or toy to anyone that comes in.
He's a special person. I have a lab mix and she does the same thing even if it's just a piece of torn paper she grabs when someone comes over. Sometimes she's so vocal she does scare delivery people but it's just because she's trying to say hello. These dogs have a special soul and spirit for life , any life. Thank you for sharing. I used to take my neighbors Golden Retriever on walks with my dog . He had the same way of greeting you at the door -- with something ( anything ) in his mouth . One day he came over to me , tail furiously wagging , all ready to go , when I realized that he had her BRA hanging from his mouth !!! I gently removed it & off we went . This was 7 or 8 years ago & it STILL makes me giggle whenever I think about it .❤🐶🐾❤

My music teacher had a Labrador that behaved just like this. Every time I came over for my weekly lessons, her dog would bring her toys to show me and my dad. It was so sweet.❤

Dogs are so smart. I've noticed how family dogs that come into my home to visit with their people, where I care for my 88 yo mother, they seem to know she is special and fragile. They're curious but also very gentle.
