    Nice wishlist. Would like to see zoom feature not only for video but also for photo. Also make the X3 remote control compatible with the ace pro

    Love this video - lots of these ideas would complement well the ones I put on my own review. Question for you on 'snapshot'. When I try to take a still from a video in the software, it seems to give a very small file / low-res image. Is this user error on my part or do you find the same?

      If I take a still from a video, it's usually on my pc because it retains the resolution from the 4K video. Tbh, I've never take a still from the Insta360 app lol. I just did a snapshot of my video on the Ace Pro in the Insta360 app, it's snapping at 4K res (3840x2160, 8.3mp) and looks good, not sure why yours is not.

    Insta360 built this camera and its software, this is very much possible they can bring 30 or 60 fps in 8K, if 30 not possible then at least 60 they can with some limitations.
    DJI Action 3 brought 10 bit color with update, definitely Insta360 will bring later, not that early.
    They should set lens for sale, user can change with a kit tool, its not required much effort.

      I actually would be happy with that extra 6fps lol I'll take 30, still better then nada

      @@MiyagisRant lets hope they can bring something at least they should lens for replacement and 8K 30 FPS will be nice thought.

      @@TechTalksWithArmani I'm actually happy with the shooting resolution, yah, there are little things here and there that would be nice but I'll emphasize, "little" things. Would be nice to have 8K/30fps, will I lose sleep if I don't, nope lol

    Thing is 4k actually made a difference within human scale. 8K isn't really that necessary for MOST situations. But we're going to be expected to deal with massive footage, in operation and in storage? Nah. Heck even 2.5k looks quite good on a 4k TV in a regular room, say 47in to 55in TV looks fine.

    • @MiyagisRant
      @MiyagisRant  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      that's what we said about 4k too back then lol now look at where 4k is. tbh, i don't really care, 4k is good enough but if I need that extra edge especially in the zooming part, you know where I'm going with this 8k right? which btw is the reason why clarity zoom exists in this camera.

      I was alive when 720p was a huge thing, then 1080p, then 4k, consistently throughout all those new resolution, it's the same thing, we will 'never' need that high resolution, now we can't live without it. There is a significant difference from 4k to 8k, let's be honest, are we ready for it now, nope but this is a start just like 4k. Hell, you know 10K TV's are out and have been for over a year now, is there content for it, nope lol

      I agree 100%. 1080p looked okay on smaller computer monitors that were at 1080p over 22 inches or 24 or so.. now when watching that kinda "good" footage on a big screen tv (I'm on a 65" Samsung Q7 from 2017, so by no means the latest and greatest) I feel like 4k is now a minimum and some looks better than others. 1080p I avoid now like the plague, especially when we have access to 100-1000mbps connections now compared to yesteryears 14.4 kbps modems or 1mbps dsl lines. Heck, even hard drives are around the 20tb size now so I say bring 8 and 10k on.@@MiyagisRant

    doubt you're getting 60fps 8k c'mon. Do they even have flash cards that can handle that?

    • @MiyagisRant
      @MiyagisRant  ปีที่แล้ว

      Never say never, it can write 8k/24 without a hitch, gopro can record at 5.7k 60fps without a problem. Did we ever think we would actually get 8k on a actioncam? nope. avg data read rate for 8k/30 raw is about 325mb/s and 4k/120 is 235mb/s, I'm guessing right now with 8k/24 is probably just a little over 235mb/s. It will depend on two things, the memory card and how fast this camera can actually write to it. Right now, neither you or I know the details of the hardware in this camera, all I know is that this is new tech and the only one with this hardware and sd cards are constantly pushing for higher data writes. ie. the latest now are the v60 cards, which has a write speed of 250mb/s. Time will tell, also, we never thought we would have 2tb microsd cards 5 years ago either lol

    They told me 8K 30 p is technically not possible ...

      I take with a grain of salt what company reps tell me anymore, when I use to sell cameras up to about a year ago, I made friends with a lot of the reps. ie. Canon, Sony, Fujifilm etc. I'm actually still good friends with our regional Sony rep and you would be amazed at what they are allowed and not allowed to disburse to the consumer and also what they are 'told' to tell ;). Remember, DJI A3 was not expecting 10 bit either and they managed to push 10 bit into that thing. I was also 'told' at the beginning they can't do 10 bit on this Ace Pro's hardware which I'm finding it very hard to believe due to how advanced the hardware is compared to it's competition, Ace Pro is the first camera to inherit the 5 nm chip combined with the Bayer quad sensor, oh i'm pretty sure they can push 10 bit into this thing. I just recently asked another rep, his comment was "Well, we aren't really thinking about that right now..." that's neither a yes or no lol
      As for 8K, I have a theory, I could be completely wrong but hear me out.. we know that the 8K was a mistake in this camera, it was never to be released and the sensor was there for Clarity Zoom... there's an 8k sensor in this! Why when you use zoom, there's a slight lag, because it's physically switching to that 8K sensor. That said, Clarity zoom works up to 4K/60 FPS and it's recording in Zoom on the 8K sensor NOT on the 4K sensor, so we know that 8K sensor can record up to 60 fps in 4K, I wouldn't be surprised if they later find out they can tweak that to 30fps, it's only 6 fps difference and I would be absolutely happy with 30fps, ecstatic at 60fps lol Something to think about ;)

    Weird about vlc. New computer that has better hardware could play 8k in vlc but then vlc bugged out and now flickers a black screen when i try to play. I dunno what i did, but i have VR on that pc. My older computer that has a fresh install of Windows (not even the windows hevc codec installed) can play 8k through vlc no problem. I've tried reinstalling vlc on new pc but it only plays 8k now on the windows media player, photos, or insta360.. Like you, i prefer vlc player but am scratchIng my head.

      Yah, I've even tried other players like 5K player which its suppose to play 8k. There has to be something with Windows codecs, cause within Davinci, 8k plays perfectly fine.

      Americans can go to Cuba I know many that do, they just can't fly directly to Cuba from USA but they can if they fly from a different country. It's not Cuba that prohibits Americans, that's their own doing 😉
