How is this possible? Basketball is big in the Philippines. The country is crazy about basketball, yet there is not one Filipino in the NBA. It does not take a genius that we Filipinos are playing the wrong sport. If we had put the same passion or effort in a sport where height is not a requirement like soccer for example we would be up there in every world cup. A BIG HINT: Due to different weight division, we had already proven it in boxing. I am half Filipino and my father is from Purtugal. Until now my father can never understand that sense Philippines was controlled by the Spaniards for 500 years or so, why soccer never materialized. He would always say we are the only country colonized by Spain that do not play soccer. The whole south america does. Can anybody explain to me why this is the case?
