Noemi, fresh eggs do not need to be washed. The shell has a protective membrane on it which protects against bacteria entering inside because the shell is porous. You can leave them on the counter for up to 3 weeks. However if you wash them they must be refrigerated right away n they'll last about a week ....❤😊
In Canada, it is not advisable to leave fresh eggs out on the counter. Most chickens are not vaccinated and their feces can contaminate the egg. In some countries, it is standard to vaccinate laying hens. That is why many places in Europe leave their eggs on the counter, as the birds are vaccinated. Not sure about how it works in the USA? 🤔
Noemi, I had a load of green tomatoes. I watched a TH-cam video. Wrap each tomato in newspaper, place in a cardboard box, with a apple or banana. Check weekly. A week later they were red or nearly red. It definitely works!
Hi Noemi 👋 I have a great tip to store mushrooms. Dry them and save in jars. When you need som you just put them in a bit Walter and let them soak a bit. / Vera from Sweden
I loved when your husband (ik his name but can't spell) interrupted with his pants torn. 😅. Noemi, you recently did a video of your capsule wardrobe. PLEASE do a make over on him too. He has worked so hard on the farm. I want to see you two glamed up for date night! You deserve it.
We had the same issue with our tomatoes here in the Midwest. TONS of rain this year caused everything to grow into a jungle. The problem is the sun can’t reach things. A friend of ours who grew up on a farm told us to trim all of the branches that didn’t have fruit or flower on them. We did and it made a HUGE difference in our tomatoes-they started ripening. Hope this helps. LOVED this video as always! 🍅
Hi Noemi.🤗.. It's so nice to see you. Wow! Your chickens are big and beautiful. Love when I see them eating the veggie leafs that you put in their cage. Noemi have a blessed beautiful weekend with your lovely family. Send you a lots of hugs from New York City🗽🙏😘💕🐔🐓🥚🥚👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Old timers used to gather all the green tomatoes wrap in paper, store in cool dark place. They would have ripened slowly and have garden tomatoes though Christmas.
I do that too. Living in the desert, we have a lot of citrus around. Others will give us some of their surplus. I wash whole lemons, slice, bag and freeze. I use them in tea, and smoothies :)
Quick Tipp: you can store green tomatoes next to ripe apples and they will ripe and turn red in few days. Thanks for the video, I enjoyed it as always! Greetings from Germany, Frauke
My childhood friend lives in Bend so it was fun seeing the coffee from there! I am an American living in Australia and I visit my friend in Bend every so often. Once I can visit Bend again, I will have to buy some of that coffee!! :-) Another wonderful and inspirational video!
Hi Noemi. Those mushrooms are Japanese mushrooms called Bunapie. ( I’m Japanese) In Japan people use with sautéed vegetables, miso soup, stew and pasta. Some people make oiled mushrooms with these mushrooms. That way we can keep long time!! Just cook with olive oil, salt , pepper, garlic, chili pepper. Some people make with soy sauce. which you can use coconut amino. Oiled mushrooms are good side dish.
It is amazing how many eggs your chickens lay! Happy chickens! On another note, your husband has really become an integral part of your videos! I enjoy watching you two working together! 😊
Favorite Friday morning time! Cozy with a blanket snuggled on my couch with some tea watching Noemi! Best thing to do before I start my productive day! Zolt's pants oh no! Lol 😁That breakfast cake looks so yummy! I'm the same Noemi, I don't drink coffee but absolutely LOVE the smell of it. 😃 Great idea with the Lemons! My organic ones will go bad too so I like this to persevere them for later! Your garden is so beautiful! Love the new shelf and the cute decor on it, it is so going to be so cute with fall decor! 🍁 Happy weekend to you Noemi and Zolt! 🌿🍉🥰🤗
I just love you and Zsolt together! it makes me so happy to see how you relate to each other!! It is cooler here now, also!! Thank goodness!! Enjoying the crisper air for hanging out blankets, throws, etc. Love from Maine!
Hello Noemie! Is it getting so cold already? I see you are already wearing a sweater? My eye rejoices when I see baskets 😍, I love baskets! (I can weave some types myself 🙄) And you have such a variety! Super👌! And shelves for cozy things and changing seasonal decor are always needed! Have a great weekend for all your family! 🙋
You did a nice job hemming your sheers. Was amazed how the lemons turned out . I love hot lemon and vinegar with a teaspoon of local honey in the morning. Your husband does a great job building those shelves. Thankyou so much for you videos. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
hello there. thank you for your video. i am always waiting for it/ I do have citrus trees and with lemons i just freeze them sliced up or else wrapped them up in foil sliced also, i make lemonade or ice cubes for it also. with tomatoes i make paste sauce for the winter and it keeps up so well. even with bells pepper cause i serve it with fish dishes. the mushrooms its best to freeze them in containers with kitchen towel placed in the bottom or small brown paper bags in the fridge. keep it them xxx
June UK. Hi Noemi, We grow tomatoes and to help them to ripen we cut some of the leaves off to let the warmth to get around them. Also when they don't ripen we get a card board box and line it with newspaper and put the green tomatoes in with one of two green ones and they soon ripen up. Just keep looking in on them as once they start they soon are ripe
I agree. Starting in August, we strip off most of the leaves off our tomato plants and that helps to get every bit of sunlight on the fruits so that they ripen .
Noemi you can shred the zucchini and freeze them in 1 cup freezer bags and then all winter make zucchini bread or muffins for breakfast. Look on line for recipes. Love watching your channel.
I also had tomatoes that weren’t ripening one year. I harvested them when they were green and put them on my counter. I was surprised to see them ripen there! I was able to have my tomatoes red after all.
You guys are so cute 😊 have a great weekend ☺️ and do not wash eggs before you store them. Only wash them just before you gonna use them. They stay fresh longer.
I saw an amazing idea for zucchini flour on tiktok! She dehydrated thick slices and then blended them to a powder. She said she uses the flour in many ways and it has very little taste. Blew my mind!! You could make any squash into flour this way! Also Zsolt is the cutest husband on earth!!
Oh what a genius idea Cherie! I definitely gonna try that how smart! I saw that eggs can be dehydrated too and crushed into powder I wanna try that too! 😃💟🤗
Hi, Noemi! I LOVE when I get alerts to a new video from you, and when it is small projects, even better! I too procrastinate sewing just due to getting machine out. It is silly, it is 2 feet away from where I sew, and takes 2 seconds, but....idk why, lol. Have a good week, keep up the good work!
There’s different ways to ripen green tomatoes from the vine, my mom and dad used the box method all the time: 1. Green tomatoes will continue to ripen after they've been pulled from the vine. You can speed up the ripening process by placing green tomatoes with other tomatoes that are in the process of ripening. You can also place them with fruit, such as a yellow banana or apple that hasn't finished ripening. 2. Paperbag: To ripen a few green tomatoes, put them in a paper bag, close it up, and store in a warm location. ... 3.Box method: If you have several green tomatoes you want to ripen, consider using a cardboard box.
I truly look forward to each Tuesday and Friday for your video. I really wish you posted more often BUT I know the work involved. Please know how you/your videos bring so much joy and encouragement and motivation to us. Blessings! Doris @ San Diego
Noemi, I like so much this new shelf and all your decoration, I hope to see your next video soon. Say hi, your lovely 😍 family and have a wonderful ❤ weekend.
Hi noemi.....🤗 could you tell me what you are not able to do...you are so inspiring Noemi...everything is a success for you and a real pleasure for all your followers and particularly for me...have a great week end....hugs from Pascale...💕
You can freeze the squash and use them in smoothies. They are very mild and make fruit smoothies kind of creamy. It sneaks another vegetable in and also lowers the sugar content. I’m diabetic so I have to be careful how many bananas I eat and this helps
Thanks for the motivation Neomi! Just wanted to tell you that i finally made the vegetable pickle. I used cabbage, carrots, celery, onions, caraway seeds and a few birds eye chillies.Have a great weekend💞
Hi Noemi! I want to share a super simple (but effective! Even my picky and DIY-skeptic husband approved of it!) dish soap recipe that I've recently started using, thanks to my mother-in-law who found it. (I recall in another recent video you were filling your big under-sink container with separate Seventh Generation dish soap containers.) Filling up whatever size container: quarter vinegar, a quarter Sal Suds, and half water. Mix a bit, and you're set! I hope the gallon-sized Sal Suds is available to you locally- pair it with the gallon (or larger) of vinegar, and it'll take you far, with so much less packaging! : )
Thank you for another awesome video Noemi, I learn so much from you and I’m definitely going to try the dehydrated lemons 🍋 I’m glad to know that even you procrastinate sometimes, the curtains turned out great 👍🏻 Happy weekend and warmest wishes from the U.K. 🇬🇧💕
Thank you so much Anna! Oh yes I do procrastinate 😂I did the same yesterday as I was suppose to edit I was keep finding myself picking blackberries in the yard 😂Have a great weekend to you! 😃💟
What a fun video! I dehydrate a lot of fruit during winter myself and your lemons looked great. Have you thought about a greenhouse for your tomatoes and checking your soil? balance.
This kind of mushrooms are good if you prepare sauce, rice rissotto or if they are fried with olive oil garlic and parsley. I use them to do a rice soup called "rice mountain"
Good to see you this morning...Balls Blue Book of Canning...is a safe book to use for canning..it tells you everything you need to know...also...dehydrate.
You can dice zucchini for spaghetti sauce or grate it and add to rissoles. My grandmother used to slice them fine, coat in flour, dip in egg and shallow fry on medium to low heat.
So I'm from northern Maine originally and my mother used to stick the tomatoes on a table in front of a window. And they will ripen on their own some people say to put in a paper bag but they will ripen on the windowsill. It's not the same as on the plant but it will ripen. Also yeah don't wash your eggs if you want them to last longer. You should Google that
Hello Noemi! Another great video! 👍😍 You can also freeze mushrooms well! I do that, for example, with porcini mushrooms that I collect myself. Warm greetings! 🤗❤
Another great video Noemi!!! Our garden tomatoes aren’t ripening either, I wonder why because our cucumbers and pepper plants are doing so well! Ugh, maybe better next year 🤷🏻♀️ The shelf makes a nice addition to the entryway!! And of course you bought the solid gold ones 🤣 Max looks so much like Zsolt, and Cole is all you! You’re family is awesome!!!! Sending love & big hugs to you my dear friend!! Have a lovely weekend!!!! 🥰❤️❌⭕️🐓🍄🍅🥒🤗💐
For the zucchinis:I had an abundance one summer and I shredded some and pat them dry and froze them for soups, chilis, and pasta casseroles and with some others I made zucchini muffins and froze them fort the fall! Those dried lemons turned out beautiful .
@@ScandishHome My mother would shred her zucchini first and then freeze in 2 cup portion, which is what her recipe for zucchini bread needed, then when she thawed the package it was ready to use.
Hi Noemi! Have you ever tried brewed cacao? I have a lot of food intolerances and stomach issues so I can't drink coffee anymore, even decaf. The best brand I found is Crio Bru Cacao and you brew it just like coffee but it's much better on my tummy and it's also gluten free, dairy free, and sugar free. There are a bunch of other health benefits too, I love it so much! Thank you for inviting us all into your beautiful home, your videos are so wonderful and inspiring. Looking forward to holiday videos!
@@angeladavenport40 Nope it's completely ground! You brew it just like coffee either in a French press or coffee brewer but with that you would need a mesh filter instead of paper because the grounds are more coarse. But it is absolutely delicious and chocolatey and healthier, and then you can still add to it your favorite sweeteners or milk. It's even safe for kids.
Γεια σου Noemi από Ελλάδα! 😃 Hello Noemi from Greece 😀 I really enjoy watching your videos, you are awesome 👌 you have great ideas and your advices are great as well. So thank you for that, always looking forward for your new videos🤗 keep up the good job you're doing 👍😊💗

I'm having the same issues with my tomatoes. I'm in Northern NY and my tomatoes are having issues. Odd issues this year. Chilly mornings. We go from really dry to torrential downpours. Keep up the good work. Love your videos.
Hola Noemí, me encantan tus vídeos. El cuidado y esmero que tienes tú y tu familia para llevar una vida sana es admirable, abrazos grandes para ustedes.
Once I did my final picking of tomatoes I took the green tomatoes put them in a paper bag and stored them in the crisper drawer. We had red tomatoes for Christmas
Oh my goodness, I'm glad I looked up when you mentioned the coffee...My friends Richard and Rhonda own that coffee company! The best coffee!! from fabulously awesome people!
Happy weekend sweet Susan! I had the same week not with projects but with recording this extra work on the weekend with recording the wedding and edit it put me into that burned out feeling so I do get what you said! I'm having the same issues with my tomatoes. I'm in Northern NY and my tomatoes are having issues. Odd issues this year. Chilly mornings. We go from really dry to torrential downpours. Keep up the good work. Love your videos.
