I went to a Church of England school in Africa. Time stopped when I listened to this. It feeds my soul with the liturgical diet I grew up on.
This is a very beautiful hymn. I used to play and sing this a lot as it was my mother's favorite hymn. Since she passed almost 20 years ago, I still find that I cannot play and sing this hymn as often, it brings tears to my eyes, even in church.

I recently lost a friend who was a pianist, and organist for my church. For some reason I can't get the memory of her playing this at mass when I was very little. I think its a fantastic song to remember her by. I love you Gramma Marge

Hi Again Rob - I reiterate my comments from your video "Amazing Grace", truly wonderful and inspiring music. This was my mom's favourite hymn, she was a very religious woman who lived until 96 and prayed to God every day. My dad passed on 20 years ago when he was 81, he had a Hammond organ and played this for her quite often. Thanks you so much for the enjoyment you bring to people and the memories you bring back to me. God Bless You!!!

And funerals. Do not forget funerals. This is played at a huge number of funerals. Today I served a funeral for a friends family member, and this was played on our $5 million electric organ. It sounds really nice, but it sounds great in this video too.

Can I ask how long you have been playing MR charles? im 48 and play pipe organ for my local church, its a very old two manual pipe organ, six stops it serves us but nothing like what you play. I do want to eventually have organ lessons on a cathedral standard organ. Best wishes and thanks for uploads
