That putt on 18 happened to the only person in the field that it could possibly happen to and not have it matter. Very lucky for the USGA that it happened to him early in the day and they could fix the cup. Still won low am by a million and isn't taking home a check so he didn't lose any money over it.

@@dinglbarry1275 no it shouldnt be possible for a ball to bounce out like that if they set the cup deep enough in the hole

    5:22 F bomb but that's super relatable

The putt on 18 was the weirdest thing I have ever seen. There must have been something wrong with the hole itself, something kicked that ball back out.. breaks my brain.

The cup was not set deep enough, I have never seen that happen even on a practice green.

I came here to watch the final putt. A side of me almost thought I had a faulty memory, but it happened as I remember. I have to laugh how people are blaming the hole. A good thing it didn't happen when it mattered etc. Sometimes weird shyte happens and there's little explanation and no one to blame.

Gosh it just upsets me to see that putt bounce back out at 18. Somebody ruined his whole career because of a putt just like that years ago. USGA really needs to 100% ensure that the cups are installed correctly or come up with a better design of the cup so that bullshit like that doesn’t happen to anybody.

Sorry but if you ruin your career over 1 putt you weren’t going to make it happen anyways

26:52 we've seen this before. Can we not design a better cup? He played like a pro, but he should at least try to look happy for the Wyndham Clark at the awards ceremony. 😒

The cup is only set about 1/4 inch below the surface. That's Greens-keeping 101, set the cups to the depth specification. I've never seen the cup set that low except on practice greens.

He has incredible speed, soft mits but his putting is weak. If he wants to be elite he really needs a good putting coach. Overall I was impressed with his game

Very presumptuous on that final hole to bend down to pick up the ball before the ball went in the hole

am i going crazy or is the yardage way off at 6:33? - hole 9 - "179" and hes going with a 6i?? unless there is a 40mph headwind hes hitting through this makes no sense to me if he is driving the ball 375 yds. His 179 should be like a juiced pw or something lol

Kids a +5.5 and made his way around that course pretty damn well, especially with the driver giving him such trouble.
Golf doesn't really get much tougher than a US open, and he didn't play perfectly, but he definitely played it pretty damn well.
He finished top 40. I'd say his irons are working pretty well!
