Another great review, thanks Grant. Appreciate the thoughtful mention of the runner who sadly passed away, and echo your condolences to his friends and family. Recently switched to more trail-like routes and this looks like a real corker - must cross the Pennines and visit sometime, especially for the Mistal Kitchen cafe!
Thanks, Andy! The Mistal Kitchen looks great doesn’t it! Definitely worth a visit at some point. And if you’re getting into the trails, well, there’s no excuse haha
Hey Grant, What a lovely review, and a cool channel! My friend linked it and I thought I would come say hello, I was the vegan runner you overtook who was struggling just toward the end on the last long hill. I really appreciated your encouragement that day, it was a hard one. I definitely agree with you about pacing-this was my first time doing Chevin and I wanted to do Craig proud-as I shot up that first steep hill way too fast and was just trying to recover the whole way round. I did really enjoy the route though, and was surprised how busy it was. Vegan Runners are having a very large memorial on the 29th at Woodhouse Moor, not sure how far it is to travel for you, but if you wanted to join us we would be love to have you. Theme is shades and headband. I think you said you had seen a lot of people posting about him online though, so you probably saw my video explaining it. All the best, Jes 💚🖤
Hey Jes! I’m glad I managed to help spur you up the hill a little last week. And I’m glad you enjoyed my video ☺️ Sorry I couldn’t make it over to Woodhouse Moor this weekend, I’m sure yourself and the Vegan Runners put on run in memory of Craig - you will have definitely done him proud over the last couple of weeks! I can’t wait to see the videos and pictures from the event! Fingers crossed the headbands were out in full force! Hopefully see you at another Parkrun soon! Grant ☺️
