- We loved VanFest Florida! An entire weekend of van tours and getting to know this special nomadic community that lives on the road. 2024 was the first year that VanFest USA held a gathering in Florida, yet there were still over 200 rigs in attendance at their first annual event! We were blown away by the amazing people we met at this fun festival. Plus we got to tour some of the coolest conversion vans, skoolies and other interesting rigs.
This was also our very first vanlife festival ever! We enjoyed opening up our van for tours, and we know the friendships we started at this event will continue to blossom over the years. Even more heartwarming is that we got to meet many of you who came out to see us at this event! We hope you enjoy this episode!

I grew up with Ford vans, so I know the excitement. My late-Dad had one of our vans custom made. It had black lights, a table…etc

Ha!! Yep, it was a blast! 😄 We've been loving these Florida vanlife events this winter. Some day we'll also check out the vanlife events out west! We hear those can get pretty big!

OMG! OMG! OMG! It's a new video! I am so happy to see both of your smiley faces again! I love the new logo stickers and the van's name. That was such a great video to watch. I loved seeing everyone's setups as well. I have a friend who travels across the country and does van meet-ups. If my husband didn't use so much water and soap to wash his hands, we could enjoy the van life too! 🤣

It definitely was! There was so many cool vans with unique features. It gave us a lot of ideas but even better were the people that make up the vanlife community. So much fun! 😊🚐
I went to that "van fest". I also voted on the van with the murphy bed. the interior was nice to. I hope it comes back to melbourne next year.

Aww! Oh no! Pretty much all the vanlife and nomad festivals in Florida are in January through March, since those are our in cooler months. In Florida they're pretty much done for the season, but there's supposed to be a bus bonanza in Danville, Georgia!

Definitely! There was probably at least two hundred vans at this event so we weren't able to even capture a fraction of them, but yes there were a lot of older builds as well! It's so cool to tour all of them to get ideas on all budget levels. We love seeing the self-converted vans and the people who build them. So cool! 🚐🤩

What part of Florida was the van fest? And is there another one coming up?
This was in Viera, Florida which is more Central Florida on the east coast. They actually have three of these a year which now looks to be in Florida in January, New England in the summer, and Utah in the Fall. We'll definitely be going to this one again next year in Florida! It'd be cool to catch it in other states too if we're in the area. Here's all the info: vanfestusa.com

I have a question, can you attend these events without camping on the site or having a van? I see so many that are for sale and think it would be cool if you could just shop and maybe buy a van from an event like this
Hi! Oh definitely it's a great idea to attend these events if you're looking to buy a van. These type of events usually offer day passes on the weekends where the public can enjoy van tours and meet the nomadic community. We saw many vans and cool rigs for sale at VanFest! 😄
Wish I had the contact information for those selling their vans because I'm looking.
There were a handful of people that were selling their vans. You can definitely find a lot of them online in Facebook Groups or on websites where people list their vans for sale. We hope you find one! You can always start quickly and easily like we did trying it out with car camping and then renting a van on something like rvshare.com. We hope that helps! 🚐

Just don’t go to the dark side (blank space/dark side) when doing YOGA. It can be demonic and allow demons into your soul if you give yourself over to it.. When you hear a voice in the DARK SPACE, don’t give in. RESIST. Ask God for help.
OTHERWISE….. stretching/exercising is GOOD for the limbs! Strength is important as we age.

So, FL is like the worst place for van life. Can't camp anywhere and camp grounds are like the most expensive ones. 😂😂😂
I know right? It's definitely not as easy as places out West with BLM land. At least if you're wanting to wild camp for free. We like to go to a lot of the state parks but it does get pretty expensive. We wish there was more free places out here! 🚐
I'm in North Florida and have been for a year with no problem. However, Central and South Florida is difficult because of the tourist attractions. There aren't too many people making Jacksonville their destination spot. You can even sleep very close to the beach because there's plenty of visitor spaces and no charge to park at our beaches.
north east of Fort Myers there are acres of land to camp out on for free - also try IOverlander has all the greatest hidden spots
