It's a reply but, imo, it's an immature one. The key to fostering long relationships of all kinds is communication. Shutting down on someone and just ignoring them can be mentally torturous for people who genuinely don't know what they did. The real life version is just basically ignoring someone who's trying to talk to you when they don't know what they did. It's hard and can be mentally frustrating. The only exceptions are when people are being creeps and being inappropriate. But even then, there's a degree of "please stop messaging me, you're making me uncomfortable" that should happen at some point.
