Love these videos...unfortunately i am in n.ireland so vast majority of leasing companies do not deal with us over here and any few remaining ones are way too expensive..often cheaper to buy new which bucks the trend.Still does not stop me watching :)
@@DefinitelyNotAGuru I did encounter one company that would deliver to Liverpool docks but need to look into it more, like getting any service in n.ireland and if i would have to return car to mainland at end of lease..thanks for the info and congrats on 50k subs

Thanks you for the updates & videos Jim, enjoying your channel. I’m like yourself, pretty disappointed with the deals on Lease Loco these last 2 days, was hoping for a bargain but will just have to keep looking. All the best 😀👍
Yeah, I think when prices are already on the floor there’s not far left for them to go probably. Some great deals around in any case - good luck with the hunt 👍
I was looking earlier at the Kona, and it was available for £189.90 and 5k miles and £2277 up front. But my wife was totally disinterested and said ‘what’s wrong with the EV you own outright right now?’ I had no answer… happy wife, happy life I thought to myself as I was kicking the can down the road 😂
@@DefinitelyNotAGuru Trust me I’m working on it. Now I’ve discovered Leaseloco through you, have every intention of getting a car at earliest opportunity. Bought the car (Zoe) outright through trading in a 2yr old used Golf when prices were mad post Covid and nobody wanted a Zoe and prices of them dipped (I bought a 6 month old with 5k miles for just under £20k. Haven’t done TOO bad in terms of depreciation really (about 50-60%) in the last 3.5yrs. But time is right now to put that residual value into an EV I can hand back, because technology and battery range is getting better year on year, as manufacturers start to invest more time and resources.
@@DefinitelyNotAGuru Trouble I have is if I go into the office - rare, but if I do, it's 240 mile round trip, don't want to stop either way and limited charge chances when I get there, hence why I'm looking at 300 mile range cars - Kona looking good at that price though, but it's not 'blowing my dress up'
Just gone for the ID.3 Pro S Match (340 mile range) cheaper than the smaller battery model and its the new version with 5 seats at last and the new 12.1 Pro Nav Screen, Cheap as chips 2 year £309 a month on a 3/24 10K a year inc Maintenance, about £8K over the term and Virtually no BIK..just a few hundred a year.
I was hoping for some proper bargain bin prices for a low end car like a Swift, but no luck unfortunately. There have definitely been some lovely deals on more midrange cars like the VWs so hopefully a bunch of people have found something nice to suit them
Thanks Jim. What would you say is the tipping point in terms of mileage per annum in moving from ICE to EV? I currently do approximately 15k miles a year.
It depends how you do those miles. If you get the right EV you could do a 2/250 mile round trip on a single charge. Even longer with a ten minute splash and dash so annual mileage is less important in my eyes than daily mileage 👍
Have been so tempted by the ID7 but I bet Lease Loco and their partners are becoming a bit sick of me! My existing lease ends on January 16th (the 2 year e-C4 you recommended!) and I am never quite sure what the lead times will be on a new car - put in an enquiry for it today and they wanted to deliver in November at the latest which is too early for me! I wonder when I should start looking so I don’t have too much of an overlap or gap! Thanks Jim
If it makes sense to you then why not? I just think after a few months that regular payment will look uglier with an extra £50 on it rather than a couple of grand vanishing from your savings on day one - whatever feels right for you is what you should do 👍
agreed. not striking deals but still, it seems prices are falling down and if you are looking to lease a car, electric or ICE, now it's probably the best time ever!
Is it quick and easy to turn off the lane keep assist do you know? Been tempted by one of these as the deals are good. I keep seeing things pop up about the lkas though

Nice work!

If that MG did 300 mile range I'd be all over it. Joined Octopus the other day using your link - cheers 🍻
Range on those MG4's, in my opinion, is quite poor versus claimed but that's a call that is all about power eh

You need to speak to the broker when you find a deal you like. LeaseLoco is only a comparison site.

Hi Jim, Can you choose a different interior colour to black on a lease car ? I hate these all black interiors .
If it’s an option you can spec it but remember that options are generally very costly as 100% of it will get split across your monthly payments.
What are your thoughts on just paying 1 month upfront?
If it makes sense to you then why not? I just think after a few months that regular payment will look uglier with an extra £50 on it rather than a couple of grand vanishing from your savings on day one - whatever feels right for you is what you should do 👍
Out of Kona or ID 7 but the info system on the VW still gives me second thoughts?
👌 very different cars so one should be more suitable to your use case than the other I would have thought 👍

Stay away from those MGs. They scored horrifically low when crash tested.
The lane keep assist might even cause one 😉. In fairness though mate it got 5 stars in euro ncap and the crash test element isn’t bad at all.
