Edit: for a bit of context, Mesome gave himself one trials card reset but thought the first two games (which were PC lobbies thanks to Good Noodle, the dude queued with Mesome and who funded Mesome to make this even possible) were absolute bullshit (which we agreed), so he didn't actually count those resets. The main reason we wanted Mesome to play Trials at all was because of the horrendous outfit that was made a couple of streams ago since it'd add +20 psychological damage due to how unbelievably ugly it was.
I feel like that's kinda an excuse. Controllers can absolutely beat PC players you just have to change the way you play. And blinking behind a pc player just to spend 2 seconds turning with a joystick isn't the best idea
I'd say the bigger difference was that he switched from queuing with a teammate to solo queue at the same point he switched subclasses. Matchmaking prioritizes putting fireteams of similar size against each other. Solo players are typically easier to beat than those in a fireteam

Love when my teammates run sunbracers healing grenade, it just makes me so grateful that there are people with brains. That way you can just spam healing grenades for the homies! TDT: this is a must have build hope you try it out

I myself don't play much pvp, and when i do i occasionally try different builds, but i always end up going back to my beloved arc hunter bombadiers. Why leave your comfort zone when it just works?
I've done solo flawless 3 times, with travelers chosen and third axiom, the first time was the adept bow the second time was the adept glaive, and the 3rd flawless netted me a headseeker messenger, my advice, aim for a weekend that streamers tell people not to care about
I have no dlc just got destiny 2 again around Christmas week just hit 1800 light level no dlc still glad i could do it knowing i didn't need anything definitely challenging even beat lightfall mission one one legendary great experience so challenging time to get dlc
Truthfully outside of extreme outliers (immortal at release, ammit post buff, 600 auto meta) I have always found better success at what feels comfortable or what I enjoy running. I recently got my voidwalker set up to have fairly good mix of ability uptime with gun options, and it feels better than solar warlock to me. Moral of the story, if it's not clicking or feeling off, just try something else that feels more comfortable to you. Odds are you might play much better
I swear, even though I am not a pvp player, seeing mesome with Blink makes me want to run an Arc Hunter with Liars Handshake or something to smack some people around in 6v6.

i mean, the first part of this vid really does go to show that just because something is meta rn does not mean that youre gonna be good with it. i mean, if youre alrady decent with whats meta, then ofc youre gonna see a spike in your abilities. that being said: if youre better with a different subclass, and you really enjoy that subclass, then play that subclass how you like to play it.
Just a thought, but what if going flawless would further increase rep gain in all pvp as well as increased loot drop chance until next reset. Would give incentive for folks to go for at least one flawless.

This however is not enough it seems... as despite over 6 months of trying week after week to go flawless in trials for the first time, I have failed every time. This has inspired me to keep trying to eventually get there, but now we come to my question... Would you be willing to guide a lost soul such as myself to the lighthouse?
you kind of just have to go off his abilities and stuff cause his stats are wonky and he has barely any mods on his armor, I'm trying to recreate it myself with a slightly different loadout considering bows are getting absolutely dumpstered in like 2 weeks
I just hit Adept. It took me basically a month solid of playing competitive. Ive been getting better, hoping to make ascendant before all the PVP changes.

I don't like how trials is right now. Wish they brought back the flawless pool. When I do solo que I end up against those who are on their way to the light house on my first game. And I thought this was not possible in solo que I got put up again a 3 stack...
I did it for free because I hadnt played since Beyond Light. After all this BS with Bungie I deleted my characters so I could make sure I never got sucked back in
