I absolutely love the Matrix marking the bellies! The gorgeous irridesance of them is just amazing as well! I can't wait to see what you do with this morph! Congratulations!!!

I bet this gene with black diamond would be insane!

Congrats & glad to see the excitement from others on this project! I was fortunate enough to see talk about this gene and the Gorilla gene in Tinley with you - I will be keeping an eye out for more updates!

I think corn snakes just became the new ball pythons.

Ball pythons were the new corn snake tbh... so corn snakes regaining the throne I think? Lol
Granted there's never been the kind of frenzy like when the ball pythons took over as being the most popular snake and the insane prices 🤔 interesting thought for sure

Good to know! I mean it makes sense that corn snakes would have come first considering how they can be found in so many places.

Corns are awesome because mainly recessive! But with them growing up fast and producing more eggs and clutches, its clearly a fun snake to mess around with. Also, corns ARE WAYYYYYY better pets! hahaha

That Sunkist Amel is what I want. An all white head.

I just acquired a candy cane motley that I would love to see in scaleless. I have only one scaleless that I can breed him to so I'm like a few gens away from making one myself. Have you made this before?

Have you done a Matrix to Matrix breeding yet? Have you determined if the gene is Dominant, Recessive, or Incomplete dominant (like het palmetto makes a hypo-ish animal)?
Also im seeing a lot of Masque influence in the animals you showed. I wonder if breeding out masque would bring the belly checkers together in the middle to make a solid black belly??? 🤩
Definitely looks like a new gene to me. Any idea when these would be available for purchase?

We should be breeding matrix x matrix this year. I will need to dig down a little on the masque gene, i am unfamiliar with it.

I was thinking the same thing. Most of them seem to be Masque as well. And homozygous Masques can look very similar to Diffused. Those black bellies are really awesome though. Looking forward to seeing more of that!

I crossed a snow female and a reverse Okeetee and got some crazy patterns in the baby’s

Seems like it must be from the original male. Don't think I ever saw a stripe tessera with a belly like that. All mine are completely white. Makes me wonder if you bred out the het stripe if it would give you the pure black belly.

Just wondering if you ever thought of meeting up with some university genetics department. Maybe you could isolate the genes and patten them.

Put some enrichment in with them. You’ve already got them in the smallest tubs I’ve seen.
