Don’t even bother unless you can get one that is perfect. Mine came in so shitty, the fitment on it was horrible. My taillights don’t even sit flush, it is like raised about 15 mm and they told me i need to sand it down, like sand it down so there is no materials at all. It’s BS and they are hard to deal with if you want a replacement. Got mine in 2 months ago, still haven’t been able to install and still in talks with them

Yeah i use 3M as well but never came off lol.
Never had any of mine come off from 3M tape, My trunk spoiler has never peeled off and that was held by 3M tape. What conditions you applying it on? Also you applying pressure after?
@@alantran5908 I used isopropyl alcohol to clean the area. I used high temperature rated 3m tape. I applied when the outside temperature is around 70. I applied pressure by hands and placed wood slabs on top overnight. It just peeled off for the 3rd time yesterday. Maybe mine roof spoiler is not curved enough

I got mine from the junk yard from a wrecked IS lol. So I scooped the taillights only and they were mint!

cant pay 1k for those bad gaps i have a full system in my trunk and i doubt itll seal the trunk correctly. easy pass for me.
Yeah I copped mainly for it’s looks and weight difference of course

what all around CF lip kit do you have on? and taillight setup?
Dope, waiting on mine. Tried last year and waiting for 4-5 months from a company that didn’t even place the order cause they said we were waiting for them to ship some to us.
I got mine from evasivemotorsports and they immediately put the order request in and they told me the wait time at 4 months or so, with half down deposit. Paid the rest once the trunk was ready to ship. Evasive is legit and takes care of their customers well.

@@Und3rgroundLex Fuck seibon they won’t replace the crack, so I’m just stuck with it. But now it’s fitment issues with the holes for the button to open the trunk. That shit is so misaligned it’s not even funny. There’s honestly no way for me to sand/cut it, unless I want that shit to be loose. Man they got the worst customer service out of any company.
@@alantran5908 yeah I sorta had the same issues with the holes. I had to use a driller and sand it to make it fit.. Did you check / inspect before your accepted the package? That’s one thing they always told me to do to make sure there is no damage. But sorry to hear that man….
Are there any versions of this trunk that aren't carbon fiber? Otherwise may have to paint mine, would like it paint matched

Naaa it won’t, they have a different trunk design but hopefully seibon makes CF parts for the new IS

I want to say it’s around 5-8 pounds lighter. But yeah for sure there is a weight difference.
