Great development for off shore energy production.

Look at this senator blasting any concept of clean, free, unlimited, US made energy. How much would special interests have to pay you to "lead" the country the way he does?

When so called Christian leaders all start to look like this, how are citizens expected to keep the faith? I'd get it if a Satanist cult espouses to block Green energy in favor of Big Oil, but trying to represent Christianity makes me scratch my head. And leave the faith.

Diversifying renewable energies is just a logical choice, I don't get why this takes so much backlash. Why wouldn't we?

Oil and gas lobbyists are trying to delay these projects.

Entrenched political partinsanship delays progress in all areas... on purpose.

We will still need oil. Both solar panels and wind turbines need it. So stop oil is not possible.

It’s just logical to keep investing on the weather in 100 years while we are heading towards 100 trillion in debt because although we will all be sleeping on a sidewalk when we’re 80 years old with zero social security and bank collapses, the weather will be gooder 👍

@@Dutch_Rudder Solar energy employees more people in Texas than oil and gas. If we don't want our people sleeping on sidewalks maybe we should focus investments in affordable housing.
Putting all your eggs in one basket is a very dangerous idea, just ask anyone trying to get baby formula during covid.

I have a problem with government subsidies for energy development. If it's a good idea, the markets should support it. That being said, the US subsidies of oil and gas are in the billions a year. Are oil and gas in need of federal subsidies? Are oil and gas new and promising energy technologies? Are oil and gas going to be the only best ways to generate power in the US? If the answer is no, then maybe we as taxpayers should stop giving billions of dollars a year to rich oil executives. A small grant for energy startups should be enough, and subsidies for established energy producers should be eliminated.

Taxpayers vote for the politicians who are funded by oil and gas companies. I bet some have given "gifts" to members of our Supreme Court. The disease is endemic. The two party system practiced today is antithetical to everything we say we stand for.

Wind and tidal energy in Maine can be overbuilt within the state, and the state can sign a power-purchase agreement with Hydro Quebec for using hydropower in Quebec to balance the grid, since wind is intermittent.

Keep the generators onshore, offshore turbines should be water pumps, pumping sea water to operate the onshore generators.

      Won’t work.
You can’t SPEND energy to MAKE energy.
      The number$ can’t logically work.
      Next.

Great until blade failures, then truckloads of blade debris washes up like the tons now being recovered along Nantucket.

So much worse than an oil spill right? Shipwrecks create fiberglass debris too i dont see any pushback on boat production? If that is the biggest negative impact for the ecosystem i’d say it will probably only make the ecosystem stronger in that case. The benefits far outweigh the damage of an occasional turbine failure. Dont let a lobbyist tell u what to think. Do some research of ur own

Don't you do any sports? Olympics 2024, you have a new silver medal by Sam Kendricks, and I can't find one interview by mainstream media in the states? Mondo, yes but not Kendrick, these guys has broken most records through the years and Sam seems to be an extraordinary nice and skilled man in pole vault, do you know how huge it is in Europe? And just look at the guy helping Mondo to take the we? Amazing. Do an interview with the guy, give him credit!
