I bought mine 2.5 months ago. I have a guy downstairs that smokes every 40 minutes, so once Spring hit, I bought this same unit. I also have a cats pan in here, and yet it's the cleanest smelling room room in most cases. Mine isn't nearly as dirty as yours, but I run mine on the sleep mode most of the time. I just checked my filter and it has dirt and hair on it, nothing like yours. But it's totally worth it. I would also offer that I wasn't impressed at first. Apparently it ships the filter with a bag on it. I'm a guy, so reading the manual isn't the first thing I do. Took me about 2 weeks to realize the bag did not help with capturing smoke smells.
Hahaha, the filter in the bag. I know exactly what you mean. Also, it could be that your filter isn’t very dirty yet because you’re running it on sleep mode, so the fan isn’t moving as much air… that’s why I run mine on low, because it’s faster that sleep or auto, but still very quiet.
I also have a chain smoker in my building. We are on the 3rd floor so all the smoke rises. So irritating and my son has allergies so we were ready to move. I'm 50 and I am not in no mood to move. It's a pain in my @$$.
@ If we are recommending, then yes, this product set to high can clear out a room of nasty smoke without too much issue. In my case, he smokes outside, but when he opens the door, the suction pulls it in and up. I will occasionally need to clear that hallway out, and putting it at the top sucks it all out.
Evening, Papa Joe - I purchased a pair of these about a year ago. I was my Mom's caretaker for many years, and she suffered from COPD, and so I thought these would be an additional step towards helping her overall health. I also have a pair of Levoit's humidifiers...not only are these excellent products, but Levoit's customer support is also very, very good. This is important to me as a consumer. Yes, I'm very pleased with these Levoit products. Great review, thanks...
I have 3 of these machines. We love it in our house and our son breathes a lot better after having in his room even while he sleeps. They are always on a use very little electricity, so they are cheap to run all year round.
It’s a 3 stage filter, one of which being activated carbon, so I wouldn’t think washing would be a good idea. I wouldn’t hesitate to vacuum the filter to get more longevity though.
I'm so glad that you did this video. I was looking at this same air purifier. For my home as well because of dust on a second floor home. Plus I'm allergic to dust let alone to dusk. I hate to dust but have to because of allergies

is your room dust free?
No room is dust free.
@@papajoeknows8355but does it help
You need to vacuum the filter every 2 weeks so the filter last longer
Once a month works just fine.
