That's what I love about Rob ... He has his own brand name in guitars, which is doing quite well, yet he still has no problem being outspoken about other fine instruments no matter who the manufacturer might be. It is truly the sign of a true musician, guitar aficionado, and all around gracious human being.
Guys, I started out working for Red Fenton's music store in Mt Vernon IL. In 1963, George Harrison was visiting his sister in Benton, IL. and walked into Fenton's music store, pointed at a red Rickenbacker, and asked Red Fenton if he could get one in black. Red Fenton said yes, accepted a deposit, and got to work. He stripped that Ricky down and painted it black to match John Lennon's. The rest is history, and that guitar recently sold, I believe, for several hundred thousand dollars.
Red Fenton finally died, and I sat on his bed with him holding his hand, the one that painted that guitar.
Your video just brought back that memory.

i would love to live in a house with some good friends where you can always hear someone playing music in the background and we can all jam and be productive etc
What I like to do with my Les Paul is unscrew the pick guard but leave the screw in there instead of the hole.
SebSberg I did that with one that I have. The pickguard just cracked one day, no idea why, and I removed it and left the screws in there.
Always imagined the videos were shot in a side room at the Andertons Shop
it was previously recorded at the anderton warehouse

Every Les Paul should come with the pickguard unattached and no holes drilled, like my Epi Florentine. I kept mine off and I love that there aren't any holes in it

Just a thought concerning "Georgia", I realize the hole on the side is small but it could be an entry point for moisture over the years as the wood there is raw.

+Amos Kamil It doesn't matter. There are so many that are included that you will find your favorite in a matter of minutes. Besides, you cannot compare sounds of another persons rig. Their guitar, their pedals, their technique are are different from yours, and then add the TH-cam audio...just get one and find your own way

I always just put the screws back in when removing the pick guard - they don't get lost that way, and there in a spot where they never catch on things.
