i was wondering what Al's answer would be about the kiss, i thought he'd say Diane Keaton.. Anyway, Al is forever a very humble man, just look at him. Wow.
Raziel 1010 You are right - It was possibly the most memorable kiss ever put on film. Maybe with respect to his departed best friend, he thought better of answering the question that way. I can only imagine what would have happened if John Cazale had lived. He would have married Meryl Streep, had lots of children, and would have been regarded as one of the all time acting legends right up there with Streep, Pacino, De Niro and Hoffman. Such a tragedy that he died so young but grateful that we can remember him through the five outstanding performances he committed to film.
To this day I don't understand why he was nominated as a supporting actor for the first Godfather when he was clearly the lead. Guessing it's because Brando was the bigger name at the time.
s k... That's how it commonly works. Paul Newman never won anything until The Color of Money. He deserved one way before that. Every so often there is a "We should have given this person an Oscar a long time ago, so he/she gets one this year, whether or not they actually deserve it" win. Newman was really good in CoM, but I thought Pacino was annoying in Scent of a Woman.
@@ongogablogian Yeah, the studios (especially back then) would decide what Oscars to lobby for. At the time, Brando's career was in a steep decline, so The Godfather was perceived largely as his artistic and commercial comeback. Pacino was a nobody actor (the studio didn't even want to hire him because of this fact) so when it came time to campaign for awards the studio backed Brando for Best Actor because, well, it's always going to sound a bit better than Best Supporting and at the time it was seen as his film.
You know what? Now would be goid idea for Coppola to reboot Godfather 3, cast DiCaprio as Vincent and Margot as Mary and do the trilogy justice. The CODA doesn’t seem all that much of an improvement.
So youd rather they die young? Aging is a normal process we all go through, no need for sadness, we should be rejoicing that hes still alive to make more films and share his experiences and lessons.
What i like particularly about him is that, even being considered literally a legend, he’s so humble and down to earth; he also seems quiet and shy, so different from his characters, another testament of how great he is.
You can really tell how much of a immensely respected legend he is just from the way the audience claps. Like they're so careful to show respect yet make sure to never overpower him while he's speaking.

@Diego Pisfil He deserves it tbh.
Don't forget insomnia
Oh man, the roasting of Kevin Spacey scene in Glengarry Glen Ross is a freaking gem!
Carlitos way
It’s incredible how much this guy remembers and can indorse in how old the guy is... love the guy, love everything about him and the fact he’s so professional makes it so much more iconic and great.
Reasons why Jimmy Kimmel is better than Jimmy Fallon:
1: doesn't make silly stupid jokes
2: lets the guest actually talk, he listens to the guest and doesn't interrupt while hes talking
3: doesnt ask stupid questions
Love you Jimmy K!
Jimmy K much better than Jimmy F ..
No fake laughs too.
Conan is the best
Conan is better than this two jimmy and kimmel
"Let's the guest talk" 😂
the "he's out there with matt Damon" got me literally jumping and screaming with tears of joy lmao Al never disappoints
Found that funny too
i know! thanks for pointing that out. it’s one of the best hollywood gags out there still running today and al’s in on it! an absolute icon
So great to see Al Pacino. God bless him
Pacino playing Hoffa was the best performance of the year
One of the last remaining legends of cinema today. Al Pacino is awesome
" i did get higher that night" i love Al Pacino
I laughed so hard at that, so funny
the amount of respect jimmy and the audience has for him is amazing to see
12:01 that’s my younger sister! I remember when she was younger introducing her to all the Al Pacino movies like, Scarface, Godfather, Carlitos Way etc. She was a fan ever since!!!! I’m so proud haha
You should be! You introduced her to one of the greatest to ever do it! Kudos!
Proud mom here too, the opportunity to talk to Al surreal THE MAN THE LEGEND !! I am still speechless . Great job Keri 💖 12:01
@@california3716she was great wearing his t-shirt. Love it all ❤
“The Speech” at The Baird School. 8 of the most watchable minutes in cinematic history ever.
There is only one AL Pacino in History...
We had a neighbor named that tho
Is it al Pacino?
@@aleksanderreljanovic im sure he was joking.
Pacino’s films are timeless, i’ve never been disappointed.
Thanks for your love and support am nothing without fans like you
@Al Pacino go away 😂
Just watched Insomnia again recently with him and the late great Robin Williams. Both of them gave amazing performances. Prior to that I watched the Irishman and I was just blown away with how much energy Al gave to Hoffa especially given his advanced age. He is my favorite actor of all time.
So basically his oscar nomination for Serpico led to his oscar nomination for Godfather 2......Wow... Academy did a really good job
He was nominated for 4 straight years:
Godfather, Serpico, Godfather part 2, Dog day afternoon
And I can't understand how he didn't win for any of these
Fyras ElYahyaoui Seems inexplicable doesn’t it? Who were the winners in those years?
@@NextChapterRapper Jack Lemmon won in 74 (against Serpico) and Jack Nicholson won in 76 (against Dog day afternoon), and I forgot the other two but that's saying something
Serpico is garbage
The two he lost for the Godfathers were Joel Grey in Cabaret and Art Carney in Harry and Tonto, both very weak compared to Michael Corleone
i was wondering what Al's answer would be about the kiss, i thought he'd say Diane Keaton..
Anyway, Al is forever a very humble man, just look at him. Wow.
for sure its gonna be John Cazale "Fredo" in Godfather 2 .
Such a wonderful actor. I solute him, he admitted that he has severe anxiety in front of crowds......it takes a strong man to face your fears.
He's literally one of the most iconic persons ever .. 🖤🖤🖤
One of the best actors in history...
I think he is the best ...no way
1. Pacino 2. James Stewart 3. Jack Nicholson 4. Christian Bale. In my opinion
The best ever.
Thanks to you all people who loves him so much till this day. Al Pacino is my Godfather ❤️
Robbed of 1970s Oscars, got one in the 1990s.
@@slyjokerg Yeah, the Oscar Pacino won was more of a make up for all those years. I believe Denzel Washington should've won that year for Malcolm X.
@@like2seeit86 That's no lie. Malcolm X is Denzel's best performance and Lee's best movie.
Al Pacino in The Irishman is what Michael Corleone should’ve looked like in GF3
iztheillest yup! And spoke like as well.
No
You know what? Now would be goid idea for Coppola to reboot Godfather 3, cast DiCaprio as Vincent and Margot as Mary and do the trilogy justice. The CODA doesn’t seem all that much of an improvement.
DO YOU GET
No he was great in GF 3. He had changed
What a nice and humble personallity he has ♥️
He even praised adam sandler, what a humble legend
DUNKACCINO! 🍵
Man it really saddens me beyond words seeing these legends age..
Tor Guy ; I just looked in the mirror. It’s kind of a shocker when I wrinkle appears overnight..
Why? What an ageist remark. He’s hardly on his death bed.
Well, getting older is part of life. That's why it's important to cherish folks while they are still with us.
One of the real and greatest actors ever.
Love love Al Pacino, he deserves to win, he was brilliant in the irishman.
Hello pretty 💖
You can really tell how much of a immensely respected legend he is just from the way the audience claps. Like they're so careful to show respect yet make sure to never overpower him while he's speaking.
The Irishman has became a competition for Al's performance in Godfather.
He is a rare example of how good an actor can be🙂
Imagine if jimmy fallon did this
al:aaaaaaaaa
jimmy:hahahahahahhahahahahahahgaha oh my god hahahah
With Fallon, it’s “Oh my gosh”!
recently he’s stopped doing that with older guests tho like quentin tarantino
He still got that Tony look on him. How phenomenal. I want this man to live on!
He is so humble and down to earth and charismatic. BEST question hands down “who he could see himself be in business 💖🎬with Tony or Michael “ by KERI 💖💖💖EPIC !!!! 12:01 that’s my daughter interviewing THE MAN !! THE LEGEND !
I m her boyfriend.
He's mean . He had twin babies with Beverly D'Angelo and he abandoned her and the babies right after they were born. Said he couldn't stand all their crying.🙄
