So happy to have found this. I have a ceiling light with horrible gaps and such, and had no idea how to repair. For now, it has one of those plates covering the gaps, and it’s hideous! Thank you!
Great video!!! Need to know how to fix after installing new lights on old boxes that had to be replaced. I feel confident now to know what is right way to fix it. Thanks.
That’s awesome!👍🏻 I’m so glad my video could help you!🔥 Let me know if you run into any questions along the way. Thanks so much for watching and subscribing!😎 -Paul
This is half of what I am looking for. Will this patch hold the weight of one of the anchors for the can itself? If not, is there anything thin that I can put between the drywall and the can anchor to prevent cracking?

Hey Paul great videos I always enjoy watching. I know prices vary but could you give a ballpark of what a repair like this might cost? Im just getting started on my own doing repairs like these and any info helps a lot
+James Quant Strait-Flex sent me the Perma Patch to try out. I have seen them online at Home Depot, Lowes and Amazon. Never really at the store locations around me though. Hope that helps, -Paul
...then the electrician comes in and realizes that the cans aren't inline. Cut out two foot square and start all over. :-( Nice product. I should keep a pack of these in my truck.

Thanks for the post. A buddy poorly installed a light fixture in my kitchen and this process will do the trick...I think. Thanks!
What would you do with canless lights where the little clips will tear out your relatively thin compound/patch?

Great video, but I think folks would appreciate ditching the hillbilly background music.
Thank you, this is the simplest video out there.
