What do SKs tank in Velious? Well, in era (eons ago), we used SKs to tank Tormax's guards (the ones that are leashed to him) because we needed the warriors to rotate on Tormax. SKs, even before AAs, hold aggro like it came with a handle. They were a better choice than Paladins (since the giants are immune to stun, pre-AA) and unless your raid is loaded with 8k+ warriors, they were needed for the main target. We also tanked Lord Fishgimp (Feshlak) with SKs and Paladins, waiting on the Warriors' defensive disc to go off cooldown. Also, Paladins made for great rampage tanks since they didn't need as much support as Warriors and you didn't need the supreme aggro holding that SKs provide.
TBC -- Seen you play, great EQ gamer for sure. Raider, grouper, etc. In your opinion, what class would be good for a more casual player, who would raid (plan to be in a guild) sometimes, and then group when available, but also solo when not a lot of time to play. I know, it's a long list. But if you can think of one, I'm interested.
thanks! ive spent way to much time in EQ! for casual play for raiding, grouping and soloing , if you leaning more on the solo i would say a pet class either necro or mage.
good list, glad you didnt bottom out rogue. Rogue like many other classes needs to be played well. Played one on yelinak, not much competition for weapons, i often topped parse over epic monks, if not i was on top 3 most of the time. Quite a fun class to play provided you have people to group with, as rogue by themselves are useless.
One of the best exp spot on velious : OC in velketor. And what do you have 90% of the time there ? An ench charming and doing 50+% of dps ... what a weak class 😂
You lost all credibility talking about ench being weak on velious. Stop boxing, try classes one by one. Also when you mark a class use same points of view : gearing, soloing, grouping, leveling, raiding. Dont select and forget as soon as you talk about an other class. Be objective.

C for bards was crazy I gotta say. essential for raiding playing resists and awesome at CC for groups. Glad you put them a bit higher at least

3-4 enchanters chain stunning in velks is best xp!
raid bias but wizards top parse on most everything, pallys battle rez with 0%

Chanters suck in raids in the Velious era.Buff bot status Super strong in group content however.
