Thank you for sharing your story. I have psoriasis and I go through so much physical and emotional pain when it flares up. It was comforting to know that I'm not the only one who questions the steroids.

Fan since you started Becky...love you and what your doing. This episode resonated so much with me to the point of crying while i was folding and putting away laundry 😏 I had eczema issues all my childhood it wasn't till i was in college that it flared up so severely that my parents, sister, boyfriend and myself were at our wits end. I tried it all: oatmeal baths, different lotions, fragrance free soap, no makeup...my mother reached her point when she insisted i see multiple witch doctors (i didn't have faith in them but i wanted to please her and fulfill her sense of helping me in some way). My skin was so dry, flaky, oozy, itchy, red, inflamed, and if I made sudden movements it would crack and bleed. I was lucky to have a support system, a boyfriend (now husband of 15 years) that helped me get through this with a positive attitude and keep my self esteem in tact. I remember one afternoon after soaking in an oatmeal bath for hours to relieve some pain, getting out still in so much pain not being able to move to put lotion on myself...it was so humiliating. But he was there to apply it for me and talk me through my emotional episode. Knowing i wasent alone was major. One steroid shot helped me immensely...it was given to me over 15 years ago, i have not had a flare up since. My skin has its moments of dry patches but with Aveeno lotion it goes away. I hope this is the worst for my skin, but if not i have faith that with Fatimas story and her findings I too can get through it.
I’ve had this happen to me and my dr doesn’t believe it exists! It is hell and I’m healed now! I’m supposed to have caderac surgery and they put you on steroid eye drops and I’m afraid to do that
