I quit smoking like this, I basically said I am done and not even the thought goes through my mind anymore of lighting a smoke . I used to smoke a pack or two a day and now I am going through bad withdrawal but I know for a fact I AM NEVER GOING TO PUFF A SMOKE AGAIN
I have spent this month looking for full-time work as a Software Engineer and every weekday I wake up at 5am to start sending 7-10 high-quality applications before 8am. There are days where I don't feel like getting up and get overwhelmed with rejection and no callbacks, but it is this mindset that John described that keeps me going. My Google Calendar says to wake up and apply to at least 7 more positions, not whether I feel like it or not. Right now I average at least 35 applications a week.
This video is a master piece. I was going to call it a day before this as I was getting upset over some petty circumstances but now I’m going to push myself to put in 2 more hours towards building my empire. Thank you John.
Perfect timing! In the past, I have made a decision to upload a video every single day and haven't miss one so far. But TODAY I just felt too tired and empty of ideas for any new videos. But fuck it, this is what I decided and I shoudn't forget the reason I'm doing this. It really makes sense now that I'm in the middle of it. Thank you for sharing!
I know I'm late to the party but this shit is solid. I'm starting a business and motivation does not come every day yet it's all on me and if I don't work it's not going to happen.
Day 10 and i'm here. And i will stay to day 20. Jhon, i think you don't how much you are helping the People. I make part of my life man, i started to say fuck you to alot of thinks and started to belive more on me since i follow you!!! #I'MFUKINGBULLDOG
WORK WITH NO MOTIVATION - How To Succeed In Life In 20 Days #10 Truth is: there is nothing you can do that will grant you continuous motivation in life. This is a simple truth you can't run away from. There's simply nothing motivational gurus can do to help you get motivated day after day. (taken from the description of the video) Main message: The more you exercise you will and control your decisions, the stronger and more unstoppable you will be. Work without motivation, and you will be successful. Even if you feel tired. Even if you don't feel that dopamine hit. Even if you feel lazy. Even if you feel weak... You are gonna fucking do it anyway. The only thing you have in life is the ability to make a decision (free will). If you can't force yourself to do the thing that is necessary and make the decision, you give up your ability to make that decision and you allow fate, other people, and emotions to take that from you, to make that decision for you. Just fucking suck it up and do it. If you said you will fucking od it, then do it. That's the highest principle you will stand by your entire life. Sometimes it's gonna be suck. It's gonna feel pointless. You're exercising your ability to make a choice. Work without motivation, and you will be successful.
Great video. What you are describing here seems like to me being a responsible adult and basic to advanced adulting skills. It's like going to work sometimes. I don't feel motivated everyday but I still do it. I really like your videos btw. Your shit is a breath of fresh air.
I have a problem with knowing what to do but never take any action! I always scroll down and worry about the future. Seems like I have a freaking serious laziness
Great video! It's a bit of word parsing I suppose but I disagree with the premise that you can work without motivation. I have recently been to that place devoid of the prime motivator and it is mindless and unmoving. This came about as a result of losing my wife of 28 years to cancer back in February. So I have recently gone thru a mental and emotional ride like I have never experienced before. One of the results of that are bouts of no motivation. It's like turning into a camera with no emotion. It the camera is focused on a table with a glass bottle on it and the bottle starts rolling to the edge and is going over it doesn't try and stop it. It doesn't care good or bad what happens. There is no internal force telling the camera to move and catch it other wise there is going to be a mess to clean up. There is just a silent observance of physics in process with no emotional response. Fortunately these are usually short and the motive force returns anywhere from minutes to maybe a couple hours. (I never really timed them.) And they are reducing in frequency as time passes. But I never could have imagined that place without going there. I believe what you have described here (previous reference to word parsing) is calling on a higher motivation. You have your lower more immediate goals but when the motivation breaks down you have to have a broader picture of the overall plan. That plan of becoming the person you wish to be. And that is the safety net of higher motivation. Or maybe I should say lower motivation, as it seems closer to your core character than the more short term motivational goals. Regardless, that was my two cents. I love your vids. Keep 'em coming!
Gotta admit, I started running the other day after work around my town, and I stopped after a few days but I hit the punch bag until I couldn't lift my arms anymore, as long as I make my body suffer somehow i guess
Free will does not exist, sir, as we can never go back on a decision we've made. That is a matrix we are not yet prepared for, as a species. HOWEVER, once you do make that decision, don't be a lazy fuck about it. Write out a whole ass schedule, like you're going back to school. Once you've found your passion, your talent, whatever, 6 hours a day. Minimum. An hour for sociality and an hour for food. Give yourself 1 day of rest. Push. And keep pushing. Push a little more. Push until your legs give out. Then keep pushing, and don't think you're even a day closer to stopping.
Does this guy before was making videos about programming? His early videos were priceless. Now he is like Tai Lopez or another business/lifestyle coaches?
Great video, thank you, but don’t you think that means you don’t like what you do? If you do not love the process wouldn’t you feel disappointed even you achieve your goals?

This is the kind of video to add to favourites and watch every single day
I came across a quote the other day that's very relevant to this. It goes "motivation is not the cause of action, but action creates motivation"
I came across something similar : "Action cures fear, inaction increases it"

I QUIT my marriage exactly like this!
Great video, thank you, but don’t you think that means you don’t like what you do? If you do not love the process wouldn’t you feel disappointed even you achieve your goals?
Any Austin meetups?
Nothing planned yet. Maybe next time I'm there.
Why was John kneed in the ribs?
I love your videos but don't call yourself or others motherf* as we all respect women.. We are the real men!
