Rodeo is actually one of my favorite sports. I found out about it when I was around 13 thanks to my grand parents and have been hooked on bull riding, bucking bronco's bull doging, trick riding, pretty much all of it ever since.

I love old West era museums, they’re so awesome and inspiring. Here in Alaska, there’s a gold rush era museum at pioneer park that is my absolute favorite place to visit and look around, I get story ideas every time I visited there.

@@ArizonaGhostriders thanks. I’m going to be working on a story loosely based on the Klondike gold rush at some point. Also here in Alaska is a building called the Morris Thompson center, that is one of my other favorite places to visit. When ever I visit there , the seasons walkthrough and the gold rush era displays give me story ideas as well.
Also here in Alaska there’s a parade called the golden days parade that happens every summer.

Thanks again Santee & Co. And thanks for the people that keep those old carts rolling . I'm interested in that rickshaw and it's history . Rickshaw is an Anglicization of the the original Chinese / Japanese word Jinrikisha meaning Man Powered Cart . Jin = man , Riki = power , Sha = cart . The Jin was dropped because of the connotation of man power equalling slave labor .

Where in Western Canada? As I was watching this video, it was reminding me of the Remington Carriage Museum in Cardston, Alberta. I always prefer more history being preserved wherever possible, but Southern Alberta has a lot of great museums, historic sites, and streetfronts.

    • @dcb_75
      @dcb_75 2 ปีที่แล้ว

@@CoryTheRaven There are, I am in Saskatchewan and we have the Western Development Museums so they do tell the history. But I see a lot of places with fairs and rodeos but you don't see parades often and not like this, usually just some half-ton with a company banner on the side. You don't see Buffalo Days in Regina getting in the spirit like Stampede does. Might be a Saskatchewan thing, just seems a lot more limited out here than down in the States.

I have a paragraph from the opening scene of my old West inspired book I’m writing:
In a tent deep within the Wilderness, by a swift creek, young twins Suvi Etoile And Sudie Laurette were nestled within their sleeping bags.
They noticed a terrifying face peeking out from behind a tree in front of their tent, staring at them from the darkness.
Frightened, Suvi and Sudie hid beneath the covers in a futile attempt to escape the intense terror creeping over them.
A cool cold wind howled and in an instant the face now stood before them.
The blankets were pulled back, seemingly by an unknown force, revealing the face was a disembodied wolfs head with hollow black eyes.
Suvi and Sudie screamed, frozen in terror.
I hope you all really like the first half of the opening scene from my book

One night when a young girl was in the washroom cleaning up before bed, the light suddenly turned off.
She went to her brothers room to see if he had turned it off.
Her brother replied “ no I didn’t”. The girl replied back” then who did”.
In the late afternoon a group of explorers were walking through the quite eerie Deadwood Falls forest. As they were walking alongside AtlasVille creek, the explorers came across eerily torn up tents and decaying wooden shacks. That were by the bank of the creek.
Upon seeing the tents and shacks shredded like that, a very unsettling feeling began creeping over the explorers.
I hope you all like the story ideas from my book

    🤠
I'VE DRIVEN IN THE PARADE AND WATCHED EVEN MORE.
BUT AS I GOT OLDER I'VE GOTTEN AWAY FROM IT AND LEAVE IT TO OTHERS .
THE RANCH HAS MY FULL ATTENTION AND TO TELL THE TRUTH I HATE LEAVING IT.
IT'S LIKE YOUNG LOVE, YOU HATE TO LEAVE HER, AND WHEN YOU DO, YOU CAN'T WAIT TO SEE HER AGAIN.
I'VE BEEN THERE AND DONE THAT, , AS THEY SAY!!
IT'S TIME FOR OTHERS TO ENJOY THE LIFE OF THE COWBOYS.
MY MEMORY OF PAST YEAR'S CAN'T BE TAKEN AWAY.
I'LL SIT BACK AND LET OTHERS MAKE THEIR'S WHILE I HAVE A COUPLE OF DRINKS AND WATCH MY HORSES 🐎 PLAY. 🤠

Hello from the 🇬🇧 UK Santee 👋 Can you help? I don't know if you will see this but we have had a terrible old west loss, the town of Laredo built as a passion project in the 70s and used as a movie set and club has had a devastating fire, its so very sad, any chance they could have a mention? They have a go fund me page and are trying to find old artifacts to replace those lost. Thank you

Too late to mention in this week's video, but I will mention it in the comments and description field. There will be a link to the GoFundMe.
I heard it was 1/3 loss. That means 2/3 is still striving, so that's hopeful. When our sets burn, it's usually 100%.

Thank you so much for getting back to me. I really appreciate it. I'm not part of the club but I was lucky enough to visit this year with my western riding group and it is such a shame, its a true passion project and not enough of it over here.
Oh blimey that must be awful for you 😔 all that hard work and memories.
Hopefully they can rebuild and carry on keeping the spirit of the old west alive and well in Kent UK 🤞
Also, I'd like to add I love you videos, a favourite watch of mine and I hope to visit one day 🥰 keep up the great work 😁👍

@@bethanytompsett6475 The great news is, it isn't gone, just a part of it needs help. So, it's still there. YAY!

Indeed 😁 thank you for your positive outlook.
And thank you for taking the time to listen. My heart went out, so many years of things collected so many memories. Fires aren't a regular occurrence over here, I have a new found respect to those in the US who are threatened by fire and continue to build and rebuild their lives 🥰
Thanks again, very much appreciated 😊

Well if you learn to play Pharaoh, maybe Doc Holliday's friend he chased away can give you a game. Since it has been awhile since he slapped someone. 😆🤪
