I had one of these delivered this week. Got it on sale. The bails wouldn’t stay in place. Bails to short, or handle opening too wide. I called DR support and got them to ship both bails, and the handle. Problem is that the opening in the handle is 3/4” wider on the one shipped with the trimmer. Now I need to find a couple of hours to do the swap. I’ll be doing it outside, not on the kitchen table.
Cool video...I've learned to cut open boxes of bigger items from the bottom and lift box up over item. Makes it so much easier.

Yo what’s up Stan for dinner we had fettuccine Alfredo with grilled chicken and today was a pretty rainy day so we didn’t do much outside tomorrow I go mow one lawn and Friday I go to mow three and then the weekend will be here and it’ll be time to relax I’ve been looking to watch a movie with my dad this weekend I think the movie is called cosmic sin and it has Bruce Willis in it and the trailer looked really good and it’s about them recruiting him and going and saving the galaxy it’s really pretty cool from what I saw in the trailer. Some of the things that you post on instagram are cool man, all of the things you post are cool, also i got to watch dan and Erick on tool n action with their lawn mower video. That ego mower really iOS bright at night and had a nice consistent cut and the build quality was amazing, you got to torcher test it and it held up, really amazing. And it was nice t see it put to a yard with fresh grown and it really did good. One of these days i ant to get that mower, just not today. Don got the money for it and no place to store it, after all i am only 17 and i need to save up for a car. I’m sure i will get it don he road, but i count the blessing i have and pray for the rest. @@Dirtmonkey it is. I am fortunate that i am remote and i have my schedule the way it is. If i wen to the school, I wouldn’t be able to do lawns during the week, it would all be weekend. Hide i miss my friends, we always find time to talk, and i will go back next school year for my senior year, i want a few more of my friends who said there getting their Covid shots to get them first, i care about the enough to not see them get hurt by the virus or anything that may happen to them. I used to work for dr power, in tech support.... let me tell you how many people passed right through the no oil tag. Don’t even get me started on stringing up the mow ball assembly.

You're supposed to open the boxes bottom first and lift the box off of the mower. I have a DR mower trimmer. In fact, I used it today. I love mine. I'll be waiting for the test run. I have the optional cord head that makes it super easy. Mine came with the cord head you had first and I used it for a long time before I put the quick feed head on. It's definitely better, but it doesn't cut as low. Thanks for the video. Also the better head uses slightly more cord. So be careful if you precut in advance. 13" on the new head. I wrote this while watching. Don't run it with a broken cord. You'll feel the vibration. You'll want to get the better serrated cord for heavier weeds. The green is for lighter duty mowing. I use four different cord gauges, two that are serrated.

I have one of these, but it is not self propelled or electric start. However mine typically starts on the second pull. Works awesome!
I call it WeedZilla!
Suggestion. With some conduit straps, add a PVC tube slightly longer than the strings to the handle assembly. Glue a cap on the bottom and a screw cap on top, add water to it and put extra strings in it. The strings will be handy and last longer.

Been away a couple weeks so catching up on the vids tonight. 2-3 weeks ago you posted "Regrading a MUDDY parking lot" and were talking about tool recommendations. I'm was a Mechanic for about 8 years before I got out of it so my box is filled with the "expensive" stuff, BUT something I was really impressed with was the Tekton a lot of the guys were getting just coming into it. I picked up a 1/4 set for the house and its been amazing. The oddball other tools I've gotten the last year or two have been great. I hear their warranty process is really easy too. The downside is you can just run to Harbor and get a replacement. I'd probably use HF tools over new Craftsman from what I've seen at this point tho.

Stanley, I have used that type of machine before. like 15 years ago. It was okay I was using a small home owner model for a guy who needed an area trimmed at his house and he bought the machine. It worked ok. We didn't have a weed whacker so he bought that unit. You will be running the front piece on the ground quite a bit. and it will get tore up. When you are using this in the field if you haven't already shot the video take out your Stihl FS 11R weed whacker and compare the weed whacker to this unit. I run .105 string from Oregon with the metal coil inside the string. I am thinking that a weed whacker could do the same thing and it might be easier to use the weed whacker with mobility since you are looking to just chop up the grass and then you will go over the grass with a mower. Also with this unit how big of string are you able to use? That will make a difference.
Tomorrow is the torture test of this unit. Let me know what you think of it compared to the stihl after you see that Bill.

I was watching you guys on another video trying to prove your tires for the snowyou could the purpose of that we do that foryou could sharpen the edges it's to make the tire clean out better the last snowpack in holding in the tires of more crap you're going to get so you could sharpen them up off of a 38-inch bulgur we take about 50 to 55 lb of rubber off of them and almost makes it look like a tire and they're very lightnot sure why it sent it to this one I was trying to do it on that comment on that video but but I've never tried to comment on these videos before thank you good luck

Just to help you in the future, engines used on push timers and push mowers take 20 ounces of oil.
Is it always 20 oz? I would think it varies from manufacturers and models?
@@Dirtmonkey It's always 20 oz on engine of that size. I spend my days working on those kinds of engines all day at a small engine shop.

urs had the same "issues " mine did.....wouldn't shut down with the throttle then tried the key, pulled the plug. transmission won't disengage till u push forward first. that's bitch cuz.......well, .........uhhhh, say WHAT? some know exactly what I mean. both cables weren't adjusted at all. Oh yeah, there was NO labels telling me to put oil in BEFORE STARTING THE ENGINE only in the book, I don't read books i put stuff together and use it. WHOOPSY!!!!!!!!! very much not impressed!!
