Adore this. Miss these pure jamming sessions on the later albums. Its tracks like these that cement their place in musical history as a band. Was a chance for the musicians to shine as much as we adore Jays voice
Has anyone else ever noticed that at around 0:20 (ish) and 3:45 (ish) there is a very slight bleed through of Jay's voice? Must be a vocal track that never made it to the eventual b-side release. Any sound engineers out there able to isolate it?? I'd love to know what it would have sounded like...😮
I found this Anniversary Travelling Without Moving re-release album with additional music by accident on youtube and just ordered the CD Digipak (I especially like the track Slipn' N' Slidin' ^_^). The music is great but Jamiroquai fans don't know about it - there needs to be better marketing!
I definitely hear him. I think when this is performed live, there are lyrics to it. Doesn't explain why you can hear him in this instrumental version. Maybe there wasn't much sound proofing in the studio they recorded it in and he was singing right outside of the booth.
I might be wrong but I think there were originally lyrics recorded for the song but they weren't used in the end. Maybe they were turned down but not all the way? I'd love to hear a version with the lyrics in full volume.
You're not alone, I hear his voice too...makes you wonder why they're there whether its a mistake or intended. I think there are original lyrics available for this song but I don't know if we'll ever hear them as this song has yet to be performed live
2:59 always gets me. That's why I love the Synkronized tour virtual insanity intro 😄

I was 23, there was no social media, I was DJing a small roof top gig, I mixed this into a set. Peace and perfection.
Ojalá hubiese podido estar allí 👌
I was raised to not use the word "love" unless I truly meant it.... I love this song.
This is acid jazz...love the Donald Byrd esque breakdown toward the end.

1:10 quoting "Four" from Miles Davis!
Anybody else vaguely hear Jay in the beginning AND end of the song? Or am I crazy?
Either we both crazy or you're right
I could hear him too! I’m shocked 😱

It was the b-side to Virtual Insanity. Probably why.
