  • BBC Two NI signing off for the final time on its analogue terrestrial TV network at 12:23am on 10 October 2012. This marked the beginning of the Digital Switch Over process in Northern Ireland and the beginning of the end of analogue television here. As the last region in the UK to go digital, this captures the end of BBC Two's almost 48.5 years of broadcasting on 625 lines which originally commenced in London in April 1964. Captured with authentic - but not too disturbing - ghosting! Just after the vintage BBC2 logo disappears, the feed to Brougher Mountain from Divis (via fibre network) is cut leading to a blank screen at 1:41 while 40 seconds later at 2:21 the transmitter at Brougher is finally switched off. For good.
Reception is from the Brougher Mountain transmitting station on E28, this frequency is now used for high power broadcasting of the BBC A multiplex.
