How did you set this up and how did you increase the resolution because I tried just the portal 2 vr mod from GitHub and it works but when I go into settings and try to increase resolution it just crashes and my pc is good enough to do it
Don't use the game settings to change resolution, not only will that do nothing, but the menu itself will crash the game. If you're using an Oculus kit, jack the resolution through the Quest Link app, and if you're on SteamVR with an Index, go in the video SteamVR settings and jack the resolution there. Your system is fine it's just well known that the game crashes in the settings menus, and the game's res setting will not have any effect whatsoever.
