Competition for places is why we saw a good performance by Jackson today. Him seeing Nkunku come on for him in the last game and score made him know he has to perform the next game to continue to keep his place.

Caicedo doesn’t get the credit he deserves, the amount of times he made brilliant tackles to stop attacks was incredible. Just because he doesn’t play flashy passes doesn’t mean he isn’t affecting the game, which a lot of people don’t seem to realise

I thought Enzo was fine, keeping things ticking for you and proving a calming presence, the latter especially important when West Ham grew into the game. 1 - Moi is becoming the player we envisioned. Bossed the midfield today
2 - Cole Palmer is going to avg 15 g/a each season he plays for Chelsea
3 - The competition within the squad will only make us better going forward. Especially once the likes of Reece, Malo, eLavia return
4 - Colwell is slowly becoming a rock solid top flight CB
5 - The coach has developed a philosophy that suits the players he has and the mentality has greatly improved. The levels of focus is great to see.
6 - Continue to remind the haters who we are, and what we’ve done and what we will inevitably do again for years to come. That is win 🏆

  • @futurefuture-q4z
    @futurefuture-q4z 3 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +21

    **First Half Analysis:**
    1. Jackson had no passing options, took the shot, and scored.
    2. Sancho quickly released the ball to Jackson, making good decisions.
    3. Cucurella's understanding of his multiple roles is underrated. His defending and movement were excellent, providing passing options.
    4. Jackson is just relentless.
    5. Fofana's defending was lazy, and he didn't provide options for the goalkeeper, limiting our outlet passes on the right. He also nearly gave away an unnecessary penalty.
    **Second Half Analysis:**
    1. Madueke should not have taken the shot in the 60th minute; he's often too selfish.
    2. Chelsea needs to learn how to finish games and ruthlessly punish teams, so the next opponent is intimidated. That's what City does to teams.
    3. Great substitutions by the coach. Madueke's defensive contributions on the right were impressive, but he needs to improve his goal contributions.
    4. Tosin might be a better partner for Levi.
    5. Sanchez’s distribution and confidence have been crucial and will continue to be key moving forward.
    **Conclusion:**
    1. When Fernández and Caicedo click, we're unstoppable.
    2. Cucurella should be kept fit at all costs; we would struggle without him.
    3. Sancho isn't a full-match player or needs to work on his fitness.
    4. Fofana should spend some time on the bench to realize he needs to step up his game.
    5. Madueke should be encouraged to focus on getting more assists rather than scoring goals.

    6 Observations
    • Jackson with a MOTM performance & an MJ celebration 👏🏽😂👏🏽
    • Another clean sheet. 💪🏽
We're developing solidarity at the back.
    • Much better from Enzo & Caicedo in midfield.
    • Fofana was having a tough time at RB.
    Tbf it's not his position.
Wanna see more Josh there if Gusto & James aren't fit.
    • Decision making & poor execution let some of the attacking subs down - Nkunku should've buried his header & Felix should've scored at least 1.
It's early days though & cohesion is built over a run of games.
    • Now I wanna see us build on these performances under the pressure of the home crowd.

Caicedo was superb… he’s having a great run of games!
Cucurella is a showing why we bought him from Brighton for that price tag! His work rate is unmatched since last 5 games last season!
Tosin and Colwill were impressive! Keeping the lines and great blocks! Love what I’m seeing from them!

I was at the game, here are additional things that I observed from the stadium:
    1. Enzo: Enzo was so brilliant in the first half but unfortunately it gets unnoticed. He played the role of receiver perfectly. Whenever any defender was pressed they would pass Enzo and he would already be in the best position to receive the ball and progress it forward. This is 4th game I have seen and this is something that I have constantly observed. These are the things which gets missed on tv.
    2. Fofana: he was very poor, lucky to not concede penalty. I was in very good position to observe it and it felt like he actually did break the rhythm. Many times Noni had to play RWB to help out Fofana with defence, Noni’s defensive work was very solid.
    3. At the start of the 2nd half it felts like we were playing 3-3-2-2 with Palmer and Jackson playing CF but as soon as goal was scored they were back to normal 4-2-3-1. Also after substitutions it became 4-2-2-2 with Felix and Nkuku playing CF.
    4. Away fans: they were absolutely fantastic, it is very hard to silent Westham fans but many times Chelsea away fans were the loudest

This is going to sound reactionary, but I’ve constantly been saying we need to give Jackson more credit. 14 non pen goals in his first szn of epl as a 22 year old was VERY impressive. Yes he missed many chances that needed to be put away but now he’s really starting to shine. He’s got the pace, the technical ability, the link up play, and now the finishing is coming. He’s going to be TOP. Osimhen who?!😂

Caicedo is the MOTM in my opinion. This is exactly what we bought from Brighton and yh I think this is Caicedo’s best performance since he came in.

this was the closest to the best starting 11 we have! I can actually vision the spine of the squad to be Sanchez, Fofana, Caicedo, Palmer and Jackson. What a great start to the weekend.

    1. Palmer needs protection, opposition players have been told to kick him
    2. Noni needs to be back on the bench, too greedy STILL, and needs to help out his FB
    3. Nkunku still needs to start
    4. Caseido cannot be taken out of midfield and stuck at RB
    5. DONT play Forfana at RB anymore
    6. If James or Gusto are not fit, then play Cucurella at RB and Chilwell or Veiga at LB

Nico was easily man of the match. The first goal was a gimme...defense fell asleep and the goalie looked blindsided. Still, Nico made the run, had his head about him, and made it happen. Second goal, was all about a fantastic off-the-ball move by Nico to draw in the defender and then blow past him. Fantastic finish with the outside of his right boot. Third goal, he takes on his man, pulls the defenders away from Palmer and then lays it off to him for a relatively easy goal. Fantastic performance by him today. On top of all that, he came back to receive the ball a LOT, helping out the defense and midfield, and also pressed a decent amount too.
The penalty...I'm kinda caught in two minds...it was definitely a penalty for me, BUT Summerville went down like he was hit by a truck and in no way did it look like he was pulled back with that force. If he would have simply stopped in his tracks and protested, I think he gets it. By flinging himself, it just made it look like simulation...which gave the VAR crew a chance to side with the ref for the no-call. Still, it was definitely a penalty for me.
Also, kinda felt bad for Kudus...dude was making it real difficult for us but he was a one man show for them. Nobody else was anywhere near his level. Guy looks like a proper problem for all defenses out there.
    Up the Chels!

Noni had a great game at Wolves but he's generally been quite solid this season so far. His work rate is crazy and he's hungry, don't expect him to get a hattrick all the time but he is one of our most important attackers.
Jackson deserves our support, he's going to score more goals 🙏🏾
Palmer was never going to miss that 🥶🥶🥶
