Assuming for second that Trump is racist. I think I'd rather a competent racist leader over an incompetent one. There are so many safe guards in place, that even if a racist wanted to enact a bunch of stuff they would be unable to.

Donald Trump is extremely likable. I don't get why people are afraid to say that. He's warm, funny, kind hearted, has admirable resilience, and hard working. He has some parts of his personality that are less than ideal, but who hasn't? The things people don't like are the ego, the crassness, and aspects of his personal life. In an ideal situation, yes a president should be squeaky clean. In an ideal situation we would be hard on him for those things. But this is NOT an ideal situation and the positive qualities about him fully overshadow these negative things.
I've never heard of Ben Carson, but I think maybe he should run as a candidate for the next presidential election. Someone who isn't thinking about gimmicks or breaking people into groups.
