Great list, Tobacco is also becomming my favorite note. There is A LOT of frags on this list that I need to try. My favorites gotta be Opus XIV: Royal Tobacco and Fan your Flames (my frags 4life). Kinda suprised that there’s no Dior “Tobacolor” , Argos “Triumph of Bacchus” and Byredo “Tobacco Mandarin” on the list. Recently discovered your channel and I love your content :D
I just use the frags I have in my collection and I dont have those three you mentioned... But I do have a sample of Triumph of Bacchus so one of these days I will review it

Excellent list. So many to try! I gotta get on the Lagerfeld Cologne. Been on my list to try for a while. Can't believe it may be discontinued. Glad you're enjoying the Beaufort. Rake & Ruin has a very distinct 'ashtray' note, which is the birch tar no doubt mixed with tobacco note. You should also get your nose on Vi Et Armis by Beaufort (if you haven't already). THE most brutal tea scent I have come across. Which I think is rare. Usually tea scents stay pretty timid and introspective - as far as I know.

I really love long video's. Tobacco is my favorite note. I did purchase 18.21 sweet tobacco. It smells good. I wear two-three sprays even in the summer. I own Naxos, Red tobacco, Kutay,. All these smell great and I love each of them.
I love tobacco too its one of my all tike favorite notes
But Kutay & Naxos are just to sweet for me personally as is 18.21 sweet tobacco spirits

Since you love the Christopher Chong era at Amouage), you might be interested in the brand of Thameen, where he is now Creative Director. Great tobacco fragrance that recently came out is „Chords“, beautiful scent in my eyes. And not part of the Free Bottle Brigade as Robes08 would put it, didn’t find a lot videos on it but got myself a travel atomiser and am very happy by both scent and scent story of Chords (G.F. Händel & Jimi Hendrix based). Would love your take on it, maybe a new Christopher Chong era starts for you 😜

I luv this format mostly bc I just luv learning about new fragrances and of course the history of older houses etc… I do wanna say, as someone who has only been into fragrances as a hobby for about 2 years now, Initio Side Effect is that ONE fragrance for me that in my case my wife is helpless against its powers!!! She goes GaGa for me when I wear which is not very often bc in my specific case this juice is worth more than gold for me if you know what I mean! lol luv the channel luv the video stay blessed Ramsey

Gucci Guilty Absolute has completely changed how I view fragrances. I luv the leathery masculine vibe I get from wearing it and now my venture into tobacco and leather fragrances begins to really pick up! Seriously luv the content there’s so many fragrances I’ve never even heard of bc all most reviewers talk about are new release designers and/or high end niche
That is exactly why I do my channel this way... for the real ones that appreciate the rarities 🍻

I agree with Polo and Boss being at the top of the list but id have Aramis Havana pretty far up too ...but then again many that you put ahead of it are ones i haven't tried. My wish list grows massively every time I watch your videos.

Nice video pal. I was never a fan of tobacco fragrances, but last few years they have grown on me alot more, and now enjoy a good tobacco scent.

Great Video as always.. I'm surprised you weren't put off by side Effect! I found it really scratchy with that ultra dry norlimbanol material plus vanillin and ambroxan. The same thing that Delina Exclusif does for the projection and longevity... but it's a cheap trick imho.
Ohhh i was put off by it... i think its the best initio frag I have smelled... but thats not saying much 🤣😆

Wow amazing video and right on time got a cosmair polo two days ago and it smells a lot fresher than I remember smells so natural it really is one of the best scents ever created and I think the number one winter scent I mean what smells better this time of year 😊

I agree 'Vanille Havane' is more boozy vanilla, but I also get a deep rich tobacco, like I've just burst open a fresh pouch.
I also detected a lovely tobacco note, although there is none listed, in Ambre Nuit, or maybe that was just my general stink🤣🤣🤣

So my top finds of 2022 are:
Midnight in Paris edp
Lancetti Uomo edp
Creed green valley, vanisia, selection vert, english leather & cuir russie (all 75ml and same seller who didn't really know what they had)
And finally MCM Success because of your channel and absolutely love it 👌👍... in all of Europe just one German seller had a few 100 & 50ml edt's for bargain prices so I bought the lot, ha... I'd rather sell them for cost or swap them with other genuine fragheads than let the bay sharks get hold of them.
Ps is your Gucci Envy the later reformulation? from the juice colour it looks it. Basically the first release came in a black cardboard box and was a more honey / green shade and then they changed it to a white box and the bottle stayed the exact same, but l the juice changed to a more vibrant unnatural green. I have both versions and there is definitely difference between the two to my nose.... with the later being turned down in the same way KL cologne & classic are. Good but not quite as good.

Have you thought about maybe setting up a fragrance group for trusted subs / perfume lovers where we can swap or sell each other fragrances... i know you said you dont sell your fragrances, but for instance i would have happily paid you double for a bottle or two of Boss No1 as it would have still been a bargain imo and you could put the funds towards full bottle worthy fragrances you don't yet have, also people would feel we are contributing to your channel and could be a fun fraghead community.

Excellent pick ups there! Same here, since I found some bargain pick ups myself and they are the ones we search high and lo for. I am reassessing where I buy from. I'm wary now of the mark ups that bottles are being sold for, I've found where some of them are being picked up then sold on for 5 times what they paid.
I'm inclined to help out others and pick up a wanted bargain and sell it on with costs covered. Wouldn't even be twice the price! For example there's a Bois Noir for £1495!! I've seen a boxed for £512 and a partial 2/3 full at £ 265.
I agree a trading market would be a good idea, we know what some are being touted at, if I knew I could get something I really want, I'd tip the seller that sells at near the trade value. But I'm definitely not paying premium as you see on eBay and Etsy. Recently I picked up 2 X 50 MLS of Derby, 1 boxed. I paid no where near the £700 of the 200ml that sold recently.....same juice less fuluus!

I actually still like bay (if I put in full name YT deletes the message 🤷♂️) as there are still those that just put stuff on and don't actually know what they have... only recently someone listed a bottle of Escada pour homme aftershave, and they didn't put on any info but I noticed from a blurry photo it was in fact a full 125ml bottle of EDT and I won it for just £46! Love it when that happens 👌... also some of my best finds (incl recent creeds) are from other countries and that didn't show on my countries bay account.... the trick is to open the .Fr .It .Es .De individual version (takes a bit more time, but worth it) because if the seller doesn't opt for international selling it won't show on your own countries version. Then I just message the seller and beg them to let me buy it, ha.
I was thinking maybe a FB fragrance group where everyone uploads their wish / want lists and stuff they maybe grown bored of or have too many backups for one lifetime ... 🙋♂️ I'm certainly guilty of that, haha
Now thats a tobacco list! Its one of my favorite notes as well. I highly recommend seeking out Jinkoh - Vanilla Paradise 2 , its mainly tobacco in all its glory. What would you say is your top 3 to wear since this was more a regerence list on the note if i understood correct

I've just got the Discovery Set from Rogue Perfumery and OMG . Tabac Vert is freakin' awesome! Doesn't smell like Havana at all like it says in Fragantica, it might be an inspiration but very deviated! Nice herbaceous and slightly sweet, Derviche is nice but mmmm just nice, I found it very sweet too.
Yes Tabac Vert is one of my favorite tobaccos of all time... it wont be everyones cuppa 🍵 as it is Green and Dry with ZERO sweetness 🙂
Amazing list! Lagerfeld might be my favorite tobacco. I think a few of my absolute faves didn't make your list: Atman Xaman (a lot of hay, or mate tea), Cabochard (leather chypre style tobacco), Bois d'Ombrie (rum, fall forest feel), Trussardi L'Uomo (really bitter and green and fresh)
Never smelled any of those except Cabochard... well I will put them on the never ending to sniff list 🍻

No there is nothing like London out there... I get a good 6 to 7 hours out of my bottles but they are older bottles... i hear the new stuff is pretty poor on Longevity... just douse yourself in it 🍷

Epic reference video! Amazing! Not that you need another tobacco perfume haha but I'll just throw in my fave, Mythique by Elixir Attars. Very thick and unctuous unlit pipe tobacco. Earthy, chocolatey, bready, lightly resinous (non-syrupy sweet) and supposedly includes actual cuban cigar tinctures for a photorealistic tobacco experience top to bottom. Thanks for all the effort you put into this vids!

Entertaining video Ramsey. I need your help. My wife has a candle and hand soap that’s called warm tobacco pipe and I absolutely need it as a fragrance, so I’m on the hunt. To my nose I get a metallic cherry tobacco with very light smoke and suede. Also a peppery woody sparkle like that of molecule 01. Anything come to mind that is similar?

so theres a Ben Sherman Icon with the amber colored fragrance. a nice clean leafy tobacco . green and well balanced. was completely floored for the level of quality in parfum for the price. haven you encountered that one.

Considering cuir from Mona di orio.. I love the.. Rancid part of red tobacco.. And im a sucker for worn leather.. Birch tar.. Frags in that vein.. That pushes through.. With Good longivity.
Would Mona di orio cuir.. Papillon anubis or others be a Good pick?

Good morning 🐏 Back in the middle of the 90s there was a Tobacco fragrance that I bought specifically for my car. 88 Pontiac GTA trans am. I cant remember the name but it was a roundish bottle that was brownish in color. it had Tobacco leather and Cashmere but I cant remember the name of it. It was double the price of Polo cologne back then.

Thank you for all the (obviously) hard work you put into putting together these amazing comprehensive videos. Truly unique in the TH-cam space. Maybe everybody knows about this, but I went ebay-ing for the vintage Polo Green and found many bottles advertised as “vintage” which, when I checked the batch code at checkfresh, were anything but. These “vintage” bottles were between two and ten years old. Hell, there’s stuff at my local mall that’s two years old! Some of the pictures showed that they were distributed by Cosmair and one seller said his bottle was from 1978 despite a batch code to the contrary. Any suggestions? Is this just part of the hunting? Are you laughing at me? 😆
Well cosmair hasnt created any bottles for polo for over a decade. ...my guess is the batch codes repeat every ten years so it could be a 2018 2008 1998 etc.. bottle ...but if its cosmair its old... thats the one you want
@@RamseytheRam Thank you Ram. Polo Green is a scent from my past and I haven’t smelled it in years. Figured it was total crap at this point and didn’t even think of exploring a vintage bottle (or vintage frags in general) in a significant way until I started watching your channel. They just seemed too inaccessible. Oh, forgot to mention, I completely agree on the Naxos v Pure Havane. I have both and the rougher, more masculine Thierry Mugler is so much more my taste. Blows my mind that adding lavender actually makes Naxos feel more feminine? Maybe it’s the vanilla

Which is more natural smelling, Tabac Vert (Rogue) or Open (Roger & Gallet)? I assume projection and sillage is fine in both.
I prefer tabac vert... open is more of an aromatic tobacco... as far as natural smelling i am not sure how to answer that as tobacco has some many different stages all of which could be considered natural ...it could be green and ripe almost like smelling the green tobacco leaf before being cured or it could be dry and a very fine tobacco... both of which are natural progressions in the tobacco life cycle🤷♂️

It is a very unique scent though if memory serves... they are two of my favorite Prada perfumes for sure!

BiG tobacco vid. Quite a few on here that I haven't sniffed. I know you wanted to be thorough, but I wouldn't consider One Shock or Wanted by Night tobacco scents. Not by a long shot. More like syrupy cinnamon and crystalline sugar. Mhhhhrrrhhhrr. That's the sound of me shivering. 😆😵💫 Not the biggest fan of the synthetics in Tobacco Oud either. Otherwise, your top 10 👌 My decant of Sundowner is on the way. 🌅

@@RamseytheRam aubusson no. 52 tobacco and mahogany! I've had it for 5 hours now it was a interesting bottle. To me its ok I have to spend some time with it! I work in a hotel so savage and ysl are kings, you have to have a beast mode on just to smell yourself!

Actually not worth getting sadly. I think it's quite an average tobacco scent. Bakery-esque tobacco.
