Hey Becca. Yes!!!! I love the color. The only reason they say to start lower than your roots is because if you start on the roots the heat from your scalp can process it faster. You did a good job. It matches real well with your coloring too. I am finally all caught up with all the videos I missed. Thank you for giving me some well wishes. I didn't know your MIL had MS. I have been feeling better being on my new infusion. I get it twice a year and honestly I have been on it for 2 years now. Not one hospital stay in those two years either. It can be very debilitating at times but most days when it is humid or it is above 85° I just stay in my air conditioned room. At least after 20 years of having MS I still can walk, talk, and have use of my bodily functions. I know it runs in my family so I can always talk to them. I also do the CBD. I used to have my license for medical marijuna but never renewed it. I hadn't smoked any pot since high school and it made me feel really weird. 🙃 I also have taken pills that are pot. I do like those but not really a need for them just yet. I try and live a "Clean" life. I am so boring now that I'm old. Lol. Sorry for rambling. Thank you for sharing and enjoy your Monday. I'm shocked you didn't get hot root or any blotchiness because you didn't wait to put it on the roots and you didn't section it out, but it really turned out fantastic. I watch a lot of Brad Mondo, so he teaches everybody had to do hair like a hairdresser does, so I learn all the tips and tricks, LOL. You really did a fantastic job. I love it. Thank you!! 😁 yeah I watch a lot of brad mondo too and I did have sectioning in my mind but just didn’t feel like taking the time cuz it was already like 3pm and I had already filmed 2 other videos. But I made sure I drenched my entire head lmao. My mom was over too and I had her checking my head for blonde spots before I set the timer lmao. And the roots I knew wouldn’t over process because my hair that’s been dyed for so long is extremely porous and my roots aren’t, they actually had a hard time sucking up the toner at the salon lmao. So I knew I wouldn’t have a problem with that. Thanks for watching!! 😁😁
The issue with “hot roots” or the roots processing faster than the rest of the hair isn’t an issue because that dye is semi-permanent and doesn’t use developer. Roots can process too quickly when the heat of your head makes the developer act more quickly than elsewhere. When you don’t use a permanent color or bleach, it’s not an issue.
To add: the dye here is just depositing color (the same as something like manic panic which is deposit-only.) It doesn’t open the cuticle of the hair, like the developer part of permanent dye and bleach do. Heat doesn’t play a role with deposit-only (meaning heat doesn’t make it process faster or slower or anything) which makes hot roots a non-issue. Also means these products don’t damage the hair. People in the videos Brad Mondo shows tend to rarely use deposit-only, much to his dismay, which is why he mentions hot roots often. Box dyes are almost always permanent colors (they’re unnecessary damaging and challenging, only needed when hair color needs to be lifted and bleaching hasn’t gotten the hair to where it needs to be). Brad repeatedly advises using semi-permanent colors!
For my funky colors, I always use semi permanent. My first stylist I went to recommended it. She did a semi permanent color on my hair at the salon when I first got my head shaved. I don’t mind the color fading and eventually washing out because it leaves that silver look which I love so it’s a win win for me lol. That’s why I always go with purple too because it definitely cancels out any yellow lol. But this is good to know because I definitely want to use the least damaging products that I can.

I haven’t worn it yet with it still being winter, but I’m bringing it with me when I go to Florida at the beginning of April so I can let you know how it holds up in the wash! 😊 your best bet would be let anything you cricut air dry to prevent cracking and melting (I don’t always do that or remember to 🤣)

I had my hair bleached at a salon. I wouldn’t recommend doing that yourself unless you know what you’re doing lol. You could try putting it over your brown hair and see if it shows up 😊 the darker the color, the better the results will be
Right after dying, just rinse and condition. Using shampoo right after will pull all the dye out. And to make the color last, I wash my hair (with shampoo) every 3-4 days. It’s not good for your hair to wash it everyday anyway, it strips the natural oils which keep your hair healthy 😊
It lasted a few weeks in total but it started to fade a bit after a few washes. The crazy vibrant color doesn’t last super long but I think it looked pretty as it was fading too, just different shades of purple

You can reuse it because it doesn’t have harsh chemicals on it. I’ve already used it twice. And it still is good.
