Your sister looks like she has a beautiful lot, we would love to see the continuation of this build, it must be saving a ton of money having a family with this much knowledge and equipment to help her out. I am in Michigan, no red dirt here, when we drive South, once we hit Kentucky you see the red dirt and even a red hue to the asphalt roads, this house project seems to be moving right along, thanks for taking us along.
My wife is from Michigan. She misses the brown dirt!
A memory from my childhood of getting to visit my grandparents in Travelers Rest was having red dirt and sand in the car after we got back home to Tennessee. Your videos always make me think of those good times there. My sister has moved back to live there after being gone for the last 64 years. She was born at Donaldson Air Base in 1958. And I saw in her car the other day, more red dirt. A part of my very DNA has that very dirt in it. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for videoing Jon. Brings back fond memories of my 1st home I built. Friend who cleared for house & dug basement hit a sawed-off power line pole as house site had an old abandoned power line right thru center of house. His Cat came to an abrupt stop when the blade hit the pole. Never knew we would one day have an RV so adding a pipe for RV waste never entered our minds. Great idea by your sister. Me & wife plastered & tarred the basement walls & did the drainpipe & gravel. Friend backfilled w/his Cat. I did all of woodwork & painting/staining & contracted out brick/block/plumbing/electrical/HV w/relatives & friends. Built a 5 Bdrm, 3 bath, great room. keeping room, bfast, Kit w/pantry, Ldry room & dining with an almost finished full basement all brick with 2 car garage & screen porch for just around $43,000, but in 70's, concrete was only $28 a yd & lumber & everything was much cheaper. My 1st house payments where only $87 a month. Me & wife with 3 kids had much more disposal income then than ever when making 12x less than when we retired.

I know about sisters, nieces and nephews any of them need help I normally try to help them do what I can for. Don’t pay the bills very good but gotta help family.
