Fantastic! I wish I knew this last year. Freightliner charged me $450 to say there were no codes & they couldn’t find a problem ( truck was one month old) .
I’ve got a 19’ and been running with the mil light on for a month, after a 34 or longer than 10hr break without turning it on it does go away but comes back within 1 or 2 shifts of driving, my company told me not to worry about it and so far everything seems fine
My 2015 cascadia comes on and it cycles it self off, it cost me $ in the beginning to have a few mechanics try to fix it, but they didn't. I even replaced the inlet and outlet 1 box pressure sensors because it gave me code spn 3936 fm18 it relates to that, pressure out of range between inlet and outlet sensors. Still did not fix it I ended keeping the old sensors since they are still good due to that outcome. For now I just keep driving.
Thanks I was just in this situation with a 2019. But it might have had something to do with the truck sitting for an extended period of time without running. Just a guess on my part 🤷♂️ This is just a loaner while my 2023 gets it’s steering gear box replaced. Only 15,000 miles, and it blew a seal! 😳🙄🤷♂️ But anyway, Thanks for the information. Subscribed! 👍
I am suspecting that it requires regenerating, but my regeneration is not working, that means a filter is dirty...I am not sure what to do at this moment.
I have light on for more than year driving 140000 miles with ligjt truck drve normal with full power don't wory if you have this light on by self keep driving
HORRIBLE ADVICE IF YOU OWN THE TRUCK. IGNORINING THE LIGHT WILL COST YOU MORE IN MONEY AND DOWN TIME LATER ON. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THIS ADVICE SERIOUSLY . I WONDER WHY HE HAD 2 TRUCKS TAKE A DUMP IN ONLY A FEW YEARS. COMPANYS WILL DO THIS TO TRY TO SAVE THE MONEY KNOWING THERE ON A TRADE IN CYCLE AND NOT WANTING TO MAINTAIN THE EQUIPMENT.
Thats the worse advice ever man ignoring mil lights will get you were you are now two trucks gone to shit and on TH-cam giving out bad information that light usually is related to DPF warning ⚠️ problems usually a sensor
May be bad advice... but if its good enough for a major corporation with several thousand trucks... then its good enough for me.. and iit works the way our maintenance dept has taught.. so.. i teach what ive learned works
I was about to call dispatch and get routed to a terminal for nothing, thank you for saving me $.
Thanks brother just got that light today, but as always l come to TH-cam to get an idea of what’s going. Very helpful.
Safe travels

That’s true, I was told the same thing from a mechanic at Penske. Did the same on my truck. ✌️

Update:
I tried switching the battery switch off for about 45 minutes.
But it’s still on.
Good looking out brother, you just saved me over $200
Did it clear itself?
Thanks

It never required regeneration for me.
The only thing you will learn from this video is a solid yellow light , MIL , and a cat climbing a tree , that is all !

You could very well be right... Could be one good reason that being an owner operator was not meant for me....
Thank you for your comment
