    Your the person that helped me through my rebuild😂 I just rebuilt my 91 and your the only person that had good videos. It had bent valves in the rear head and I rebuilt it in the car. I’ve watched all of your videos about the car and they’re all helpful and interesting. My abs is bad so that’s my next step . I’d love those parts but with my luck I ain’t gonna get them. Ps I’m 16 and I take pride that I built a car that most men are scared of. Keep of the great content up. That’s for all your help.

    • @michaelb1597
      @michaelb1597 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It runs along the top of the subframe like the ETS kits did. I built them because nobody else made anything again. Huge temperature drops running the intercooler pipe under the turbo and getting rid of it over the turbo exhaust. I’d post some pictures of it here if I could. I’ve got multiple people running them on 3SX single core, CX single core, and CX dual-core FMIC kits. I’m working on seeing how to get it to bolt up to the Greddy FMIC kits as well.

    To clarify, the coolant going to your throttle body is related to your cold idle vs warm idle. It’s way more simple than you describe it. Basically, FIAV has a wax ball attached to a valve. When the coolant is cold, it keeps the valve open allowing air to bypass the TB… causes higher idle. As your coolant warms up, the wax expands and pushes the valve closed. this stops bypass air and lowers your idle speed.

I don't remember the exact numbers you have to watch the first Dino video and then the second... But it was something substantial. I think it was like 30 or 40°. .... It may have been even more. I think my first Dyno run I was hitting 120 intake temp and my next one I was in the '70s..... I really don't remember dude. I'm not trying to be like oh go watch my video so I get views if you really want to see before and after you just got to go check them out. I don't get any money from your view. @huracanian3051 thanks for the honest reply. I just bought a European '99 3000gt (here they were all VR4s, but with 13G turbos) and just want to do some light mods to keep it mostly stock, but increase the power and efficiency slightly. The spacer sounds like a nice step that would be good for the engine overall. I was glad to hear that even here the '99s (which look like the 2nd Gens with the glass headlights) were also delivered with the ECU that can be reflashed, so I can at least tune the engine for some better performance.

      @eca7773 yea man ... For sure ... I would also do that heat shooting I did under the intake manifold. It seemed to help a lot by keeping the intake manifold cool to touch... I don't know how long you've had the car, but those intake manifolds are known to get Hot to where you can't even touch them even on a stock car.. The fact that I can do Dyno pulls on my car and touch the intake manifold and not burn My hand is kind of amazing in my opinion

    Coming from the shorts earlier...
    Glad to see the intercooler swap...
    On the other note since u were mentioning having issue of big heatsoak from the stock intake manifold,
    My buddy here have similar engine but running n.a did use rb26 big aftermarket intake plenum and custom fit to oem half intake riser...
    Basically he deleting the massive long runner intake...
    On boosted application, long runner doesnt really needed...
    Its just mitsubishi leave them as packaging.. to avoid big buldge on the hood...
    But if u dont really mind having intake buldge on the hood, by any mean if u can fabricate custom intake manifold, using rb26 bi plenum intake might be a good way to start doing one...
    Cheers...

    The torque converter is swelling and the pressure pushing against the flex plate is causing the flex plate to fracture.
    The reason it's still starting is because at lower RPM.'s the flex plate and that metal piece with the bolts fit together like a socket and a nut my Silverado had the same issue I broke 2 flex plates before my guru explained to me has encountered the same problem years ago. Needs new torque converter forsure.

    Question? What size fuel injectors did u use? And did u have to bypass the resistor? I went with 500cc for mine would I need to bypass mine? Stock is only 360cc so I went to 500

    • @huracanian3051
      @huracanian3051  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I got 800cc and not if ur running AEM .. .. bypassing the resistor is like a weird thing that some people say you have to do and some tuners can tune with it still on ... I did not bypass mine

    Amazing that people still find parts for these cars. Had a 1991 Galant Vr-4 years ago before it was stolen and stripped. Gave up on this level of mod because of it. Brandon level gas prices are intended to destroy it for all now anyway.

    The heat comes from the engine itself. Those spacers don't help cooling down the plenum unless you ceramic coat it.

    • @1magnit
      @1magnit 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The heat comes from the compressed intake charge that the intercoolers didn't cool.
