Beautiful as always. Where do you source the wood you use for your blanks. I have a hard time finding good blanks or dyed and stabilized wood to make them from and you always have the most beautiful blanks. Is there a particular maker you buy them from?
All the wood I use is purchased from my workmate.
He imports the highest quality basic wood and does the stabilization himself.
Not officially sold,
He shares with someone he has some acquaintances with.

it IS a beautiful pen, BUT ... as a long-time fountain pen user I think the section is too narrow, besides being made of metal. For me, thin sections are tiring to use for long writing sessions, and metal sections become slippery when I use them.
It is difficult to judge only by photos and videos.
It's not really that thin.
Rather, there are many opinions that it is too thick.

I used to make my own pens too. I gave my kit to a student after I had many years of happiness making them. He ended up making a lot more on the mandril, so that is pretty good to have a second life.
These pen parts look so good. Royal looking. Love Starry night, one day I will see the real painting in New York.
Great video, we use a very similar process. I found the nib kit was never as good as thin Pilot commercially made nibs....so I started purchasing and collecting these instead.
Could you explain the "stabilized" part, does this mean glue and/or resin and blue pigment are added to the burl?
