- I am a serious clown but I’ll own it lol Why did I think that it would be ay different this time around is beyond me but oh well.
Initially hearing the snipped I was kinda torn and after listening to the whole song I got even more torn … I don’t know if I like it because I actually like it or it’s because I’ve heard that snipped so many times already. Like I can’t move on from the fact that sensation of feeling torn but I also know that many of their songs had to grow on me before they finally become amazing in my head. I can say already that I know I’ll eventually end up loving this because it’s so fun and addictive, brings up my childhood memories and good vibes. Super hip and fresh and that’s why I say that this song is almost the perfect mix of their b tracks and their title tracks. It’s also reminding me of “swipe” and “20” in a way because of the “old hip hop sound”?
I love love love the royal concept they sported here and I wouldn’t have minded them keeping it all throughout because it’s showing how they’re basically breaking the codes with them wearing sneakers while being royalty who has o follow a certain etiquette and that move is like the check mate when playing the chess. You expect them to do something but they’re catching you off guard and they won the game. That’s brilliant honestly. They looks fantastic and visually speaking this era is exceptional! The song is still making me feel torn though lol Time will tell how it grows on me.

I feel like this is Lia's era. She had too many lines, center, and screen time in here. She was treated as main vocalist here. Not saying jyp didn't treat her like that but in most of their song, her parts is always repeated part in chorus. (Ex. Loco, wanna be, Dalla dalla)
I don’t know I barely saw Chaeryeong as well in the mv too like she wasn’t even center so I don’t think it’s Chaeryeong’s era even tho I want it to be her era but I genuinely think it’s either Lia or Ryujin era cuz I saw them most of the time in the mv

I’m a midzy and for me this is the song that is the easiest to hear and it is so addictive. Like even if you don’t like it, it will eventually get stuck in your and it will definitely grow on you! Its such a fun,uplifting, and an addicting song!! continue supporting them!

I’m glad ITZY went with this sound. To me a lot of groups are trying too hard to release something along the lines of girl crush so for ITZY to release a simple, fun song for the summer, I’m really happy about it!

i didn’t like this comeback at first, but now the more i listen i actually really like it! personally, i really like upbeat songs. so this sounds amazing to me. this is def chaeryeong and lias era. they both did amazing! with lia having the most lines in the song and chaeryeong finally getting the lines she deserves, i love this comeback! itzy never disappoints :)

I loved the song on my first listen, it was really bright and bubbly, I don’t think people read the lyrics cuz they literally sing about embracing weirdness, being offbeat, not caring about what people say, and marching to your own drum. The marketing of the song was actually kinda smart. They lead people to believe that it was just another chill royal song, then they leaked a snippet of the chorus way before its release, and that got people talking. I honestly hope this cleanses the fandom cuz this is literally itzys whole thing and idk how midzys still don’t get it. Midzys on tiktok are of course, allowed to have an opinion, but a lot of them were hating on itzy themselves and not the song. Which instigated other fandoms to attack itzy. I love this song unapologetically.

I 100% agree, I kinda feel like the rest of the song doesn't really fit with the chorus. The chorus really feels a little immature as compared to the rest of the song and maybe they decided to go back to their roots for this title track but I feel like they are more mature as a group now and the sound of this chorus regresses their abilities a little, but that might just be me. I really love that they went back to the lyrics of empowerment though!

Sneakers is so catchy that I had a last song syndrome. I sing it at the office, washroom, literally anywhere. They are so smart to give the snippet of the song, the moment i heard the whole song, it is somehow familiar to me but new at the same time. You know that feeling, sneakers is just so simple yet fun. You will realize that sometimes we shoul stick to our own sounds, we should not be carried with the demands of others just to get hyped. Viva la itzy!

I love this comeback honestly, they did the 2000s nostalgia teen pop concept and since it summer, it hit in the right place and it is perfect to blast on car stereo. Since ITZY is a girl crush type of group, im happy to see them try friendly-radio fresh summer vibe music instead stuck with girl crush music.

I stopped listening to Itzy more or less after mafia in the morning, and everytime there is a new song out I hope they are back, but not this time either for me..
